SFD here, that's #4 this month. Done 6 exercise sessions so far and looking forward to the 7th tonight - seems doing a 20 min session almost every night is far easier for me than trying to do an hour at the gym and only finding the time for it once a week. Donation to foodbank done too :)

Fingers crossed for free lunch tomorrow so I can avoid the supermarket for another day!

    Evening All,

SFD for me today, stuck an old bureau on free f*cebook site and it went within 5 minutes so have freed up lots of space in lounge for new (to me) day bed that I'm picking up at the weekend. I've got a ton of cushions to put on it when it's a sofa and it will be handy for when relatives come over from Ireland, somewhere more comfy for me to sleep as I usually give up my bed!

DD and me both full of cold so early night for us both, will try and get a few more months accounts done before I turn in.

    Scores on the doors:
    4/15 SFD
    £63.25/£100 food budget
    6/30 items decluttered
    3/18 Exercise 3x weekly
8/30 Meal plan and eat 3 times a day
    £0/£3 food bank
    Get all paperwork organised
All a/c I do for others up to date
9/30 Keep the flat looking straight, not the current 'a bomb's just gone off' look
9/30 Update my budget spreadsheet daily
    9/30 NO TV

Have a good evening all xxx

    MORNING!
LuckyStarr - £37 for an eye pallette? While still in debt? Your are kidding right? Even if you are out of your overdraft that is how it's supposed to work - giving yourself a reward defeats the purpose of changing our buying habits - I know this debt busting malarky is hard, slightly depressing at times when you look at what could have been etc - but the little spends here and there add up. I know it will probably last a long time but you could use that rule for anything, then buy anything, then never get out of debt - question... when do you see yourself getting debt free?

Ouch... slinks off to the naughty corner :o... my OH says all the time I shouldn't be spending but it seems more real coming from someone else and makes me think about the "material" things i want but don't NEED ...we want to be debt free by December 2014 and I need to knuckle down ASAP..... so thank you for your tough love it does help :)

Maybe if i add up at the end of the month all the things i wanted but didn't buy it will spur me on to what i have saved ??

Past two days have been unplanned spend days due to my contact lens direct debit being set up and having to pay extra and having to get a prescription today .. so must try harder....

Big hugs to all going through a tough time at the minute .:grouphug:

Keep going raindrops you are all an inspiration. :T:T

So back on the health band-wagon. Cut out the black tea I have been drinking (always with one sugar) because of the sugar and have been battling a few headaches and fatigue. I think my body was purging. Green smoothies are back in, nuts and seeds, lots of beans and rice and no more Pepsi and Polos - eeeek!

Excellent! I love it when I have a health kick buddy..and a vegan one at that :) Be ready for your food bill to rocket though! You've done it before though so you know what you're up against. I LOVE LOVE LOVE a green smoothie for breakfast! Today's was spinach, kale, banana, dates, a few mineral powders and some almond milk - creamy and delicious! Can you tell how food obsessed I am at the minute?! :)

So, another SFD for me today. Just a spot of housework (not enough), a little food prep for tomorrow and a yoga class!

Good news about your job moomim - fingers crossed you get the good news soon :)

For those of you who use almond milk - have you ever made your own?

take 1 cup of almonds and 4 cups of water as the ratio.

Soak almonds overnight in plenty of water, rinse , and put in a blender with the 4 cups of water. Zap til smoothish. You can add 3 or 4 dates for a little sweetness. Or more!

I find I'm left with a lots of 'dregs' which can be strained off (cannot ever be bothered) and used in baking or cooking. I may get a lot of dregs as I don't actually own a blender - just a hand zapper.

Anyhow, it keeps for several days in the fridge. Don't know about freezing it.

    Enjoy!

  • I'm so sorry not to have kept up posting on here - just life is overwhelming at the moment and I have to go away from home on Saturday. I'll join back in next month officially but will lurk and still keep an eye on my money (life's been so busy I have spent very little indeed so far!)

    Good Morning fellow Raindrops :hello:

Haven't checked in for a few days, which I know, is very remiss of me.

Have been tired from switching things around at work due to a project but got two days off, plus the weekend, to rest up and relax. Started the relaxation off yesterday with a back massage (course already paid for) and today I am heading to Devon to the OH's.

As I've got four days I am driving down rather than getting the train. I like long drives, they give me time to think and digest stuff.

We have to go shopping tomorrow, well, actually, we have to go window shopping so am hoping not to have to buy anything. Need to look out for a dress type, which I'm pretty sure means I don't have to buy it, just find one I like. But, the last time I went dress shopping was 11 or so years ago so I'm not really looking forward to it. It will be fun to be with the OH though, so that is what I am concentrating on.

As I had to pay for parking yesterday, I made it into a spend day. Bought some deodorant, stick rather than aerosol, 2 for £3. The last time I bought deodorant was before Christmas so the stick is definitely the way to go. Also bought some conditioner and a new hairbrush. Growing my hair so it needs a little more care than just a quick tousle with my fingers - the things I am willing to do for my bestie!

So that made yesterday a SD, SFD total is 7 and LTW 6. Got to work on my portions though. Decided this week to have pasta and salad, not pasta salad, but even though I thought I was making less pasta I seemed to have more and more than I would normally have if I was just having pasta.

Looking forward to the time with my OH, as always and not spending much, but, I may try and treat her as she always treats me.

    Morning Raindrops....

Skin is healing! Interesting! "Glowing Green Smoothie" for breakfast is my staple Siouxsie (half a large romaine lettuce, apple, banana, pear, celery, spinach and parsley with a smidge of wheatgrass powder) although this morning around 0530 I started with a whole lemon in a pint of warm water - hmmmmmmmmmmm cleanse!

Yes the food bill is always expensive especially as I am eating a LOT of fruit and veg but there is a lot that I ordered last year from Healthy Supplies that has stood the test of time and Mumsy recently treated me to a massive tub of organic, no sugar peanut butter, Hemp and a large bag of cranberries for my stock cupboard from H&B - I could talk about this all day so Siouxsie I will inbox you instead..:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

LuckyStarr I am glad you came back and commented. I was afraid you read what I wrote and ran. I am glad it has helped - but yes perhaps adding up what you would like to spend and seeing what percentage that would be off your debt might be a great motivator - imagine getting debt free by October instead?

MountainGirl - stick with us. Tell us what is happening and vent here if you want but don't drop out pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeease!

Shyspender - Oooooooooooooooooooooooh SFD number 7 eh? Putting me to shame!

Apple Muncher - it's way to expensive to make my own and too much of a faff right now. If I ever buy myself a Vitamix I will do this but I was just thinking about this yesterday which is REALLY WEIRD that you mentioned it now. I do like rice milk so that might be a cheaper alternative in the blender but mine is c-rap so it mightn't blend down enough to create milk. I might just get rice mulch...:rotfl:

So last night my lovely vintage box bag only went for £23 and another dress for £11 - gutted. But it's better than nothing I guess.

£77 total in my Paypal account now though......so one more dress ends in 1 hour ( stupid timing ) so that might be another £7 - WOWEEEE! That's a bag of hemp girlies - just one bag of hemp!!!

Anyway - gotta get a few things done...:T:T:T
