Yesterday was a spend day; bought lunch as the bread I'd taken to work wasn't fit for sarnies... que sera, sera. :D
Today's a spend day as it's Orange Wednesday; going to see Noah after going to the gym.

    Have a good day.

    Hello Raindrops!

Forgive my lack of check in yesterday evening. I was at the local cinema with a friend (in the cafe) chatting for 3 hours. We needed a catch up and it was a long haul back home via two stupid bus routes - however I then got distracted by "Jody Marsh Bodybuilder" - I am proud of her just not proud of the moment she started eating fish for the sake of her training and ignoring her vegetarianism... shame on her....

But I am not declaring an SFD for yesterday taking me to a grand total of just 2 - however it almost got smashed by the purchase of "Pumping Iron" by Arnie Shwaze- whats he face but the iTunes payment system wouldn't update - PHEW!

So back on the health band-wagon. Cut out the black tea I have been drinking (always with one sugar) because of the sugar and have been battling a few headaches and fatigue. I think my body was purging. Green smoothies are back in, nuts and seeds, lots of beans and rice and no more Pepsi and Polos - eeeek!

Might actually get the kettlebells out as well.

Since the money-making side of things is trundling along ok by it's self I need a little direction and feeling a little "blah" about my weight so time to quit whinging and do something about it. In my garage.

OT session this coming Sunday and the following Sunday night so have bid for two more and I will be happy with the four for the month!

Other than that nowt happening in NSK land!

    Post daily: 9/30
    Decluttering: 25/100
    Jobs applied for: 13
    Exercise: 6/20
    SFD: 5/15
    Travel (bus): £14.50/£40
    Food: £51.01/£150
    Petrol: £35.28/£100
    Misc spends: £64.44/£160

Today I rename myself Spendy McSpenderson :o

Petrol was needed before the red light came on. I know I can drive the car for another sixty miles when the light is on but it does nothing for my blood pressure so I filled it right up. I got double Nectar points though, so that helps.

I had to get a bus ticket for the day because I had to go and see an employment agency (more on that later!)

I needed bread, milk and whatnot so of course spent £13 in the supermarket. Forgot the milk too so that's a job for later

Now the big one :o:o I ran out of foundation this morning while getting ready for the job agency. I managed to eke out what I had, but really needed to get a new one. I'm the palest person ever so finding one that's light enough is a real chore. Previous research has me in love with the Dior foundation but it's £32 (!) so I bought my second favourite by Benefit for £26.50  Very bad. I tried to buy it in town, knowing that Boots normally has vouchers at their ACMs but they had removed the machine from the big Boots. I went to another one though and got 250 points for my purchase which felt slightly more MSE. Still a big and unplanned spend though.

In a brighter note - I think I have a job :D Only a temporary position, week to week, but working for one of the universities here which is nice to have on the CV and pays better than a lot of admin jobs. According to the internet, it works out about £1200 a month which will more than cover any bills I have to pay. In theory, I could walk there, but in practice I think I would bus it and then possibly walk home, but it's about an hours walk so that'll require some thought. A bus pass might be a good investment. I get final confirmation tomorrow so think happy thoughts for me :)

Given that there are a fair few vegan bodybuilders that sounds like a lazy way out to me.

(For disclosure, I'm a meatasaurus, but one of my best friends is vegan which is how I know about the bodybuilders!)

Haha! Meatasaurus! Yes there are many vegan bodybuilders but it's still bawked at so I wonder if she was just doing it because she only had 8 weeks to prepare for her first competition.

So in line with becoming super healthy and in keeping with the confessions ( as you did Moomin ) I shall confess to just spending £13.45 in Tescos on the following - lemons (for detoxing my acne riddled body), massive bunch of coriander, watercress and rocket, avocados, couscous, yellow sticker Bergen loaf, large pot of basil and pasta and 3 large envelopes to send off my vintage dresses that are already bid on eBay and will end tonight...

THEN had to get brown sticky tape for securing my lovely box bag that's already been bid on and it cost me £2.45 :eek::eek: at the local "post office outlet" as Tescimo had none. Rip off!

Hugs MrsGSR hope you are ok

Well done on the weight loss clippy and the job moomin (fingers crossed)

I am currently aiming to get to the end of Friday without having a major meltdown and without killing anyone (student or other member of staff). So today it took a whole box of gf cookies but I got to the end of the day, just a tutoring session left to do before I can put my feet up :)

Congrats clippygirl (11st is a far off land I can only dream about - I know if I get between 12 and 13st I am back to 2000, only back to 2004 at the moment) and happy thoughts for moomin.

NSD yesterday and a spendy day today. £17.90 on food and £5.10 on travel (signature updated). However I made it to the doctor's and have a physio referral. Other than that do what I can, rest as soon as it starts to ache, no going up ladders or lifting things.

Taxi there was £2.50 (bit extravagant) but then bus to town centre + town centre to home was more - have been having an internal debate for the past few days, I really don't like spending this money but until I can walk properly, I think I will have to.

Managed to include several small tasks, took 2 library books back, donated to the food bank (only had one tin of beans left in the cupboard and 2 butter beans so they got tuna, sardines and a box of my favourite biscuits - not sure if that is mse or not). I quite often include a tin of tuna and tins of fruit. I rarely buy specifically for the food bank so my thinking is that if they were a member of my family or a guest in my house this is what we are eating and they should have the same. I also (don't know if other people think this is mean) include the sealed pots of barbecue sauce which come with DS3's takeaways (added some garlic and herb ones but I often use these for roast veg). I know that the 2 homeless youngsters who stayed with us for a while would gather handfuls of salt and ketchup if we ever went near a Mcd and if you only have plain rice or noodles to eat, the sauce would help.

DS3 has an exam today so will deposit the tv license refund cheque for me and will bring £10 in cash (transferred on-line). The dd notification for one of the utility bills came so paid the excess I had (no heating used as I have been mostly in bed and can't stand up long enough to cook - using what's in the freezer) saved towards the bill off a cc.

Considering buying a weekly ticket. This will let me do a proper shop and stock-up, change my library books, take things to the charity shop and maybe even have a day out (take food and go somewhere with lots of benches (and stop me looking at rooms full of things to do involving ladders and lifting). All in multiple, small load trips.
My mission in life is not only to survive, but to thrive and to do so with some Passion, some Compassion, some Humour and some Style.

Another spendy day, ho hum. However tomorrow may have to be too as we travel home (which won't be spendy) but are out of some of our basics as we travelled away on my usual shopping day, so some stuff is totally used up.

Well done Kat, giving up not only pepsi, but polos too! Hope the headaches go away soon and you don't cave in to the sugar. Get those kettlebells out - do you use a dvd? Or youtube? I only have an 8k one, but use my 25lb sandbag too. Yep, I hop between imperial and metric!

Fmess, hope you get to friday without committing murder!

Mrs GSR, hope you are ok.

SiannieLaz, sending you hugs . Hope it all gets sorted soon.

Fingers crossed for you, Moomin, about the job.

Today's spendy confession is just over £9 in charity shops with dd. We did get 9 items including 3 books, a tshirt and leggings and some toys. But it's time to take time off from charity shopping!

Well - my claim to vague fame - I used to work for a well known fitness company. In there the personal trainers would happily train the receptionists for free as it showed the actual members there was a level of trust and solidarity between staff members AND when results were seen it was like a walking advertisement for them.

The guy I was training with was one of the first to introduce kettle bells to the UK - this was years ago by the way - and low and behold straight from the horses mouth I learned all the techniques and exercises needed to get super strong and fit.

Now I just need to put them back into practice.

I have a 12KG called "Sid" and a 16KG called "Bella" which were a gift from said trainer as well. Time to pull my finger out I think. It's gonna hurt.

P.S - and I know full well how toxic those Pepsi's are - they were a "treat" that eventually became the norm for night shifts at the weekend with at least two consumed during the week. Not massive amounts but still way to much - very conscious of my sugar intake.

    Hi All,

A fairly good day for me today as it was a SFD and a LTW day too. In addition to this I went to Sainsbury's and didn't actually buy anything just asked for a refund of £2.99 for an item I was charged twice for yesterday. Sort of my own fault as I used Fast Track but I know I only scanned the item once. They were excellent and refunded immediately :j

    So totals are now:

    5/15 - SFD
    7/13 - LTW
    £101.51/£150 - Grocery

In addition to this OH and I have been doing lots of talking regarding what we want out of life and are making some headway. We both sort of want the same things out of life but whereas I am an 'OK let's go for it' kind of girl he sometimes over analyses things and changes his mind. The good news is once he finally decides on something he goes all out for it so we should get there in the end.

Lots more discussions and planning will take place when I am on holiday, along with a really big sort out of the house.

MrsGSR Hope everything is Ok. Take care and come back soon

Moomin Fingers crossed that you get the job

Fmess Hold on in there. Not too long to go. Please don't kill anyone as we would all miss you

NSK Sorry to hear about your skin problems. I know exactly how you feel as I often have similar problems. One remedy I use is to have long hot baths with Tea Tree and Lavendar oil in. Not only does it help the skin it also helps you get a good nights sleep. I did try drinking a night time herbal tea and burning Lavendar scented candles whilst in the bath at one stage but decided that was too much relaxation as I started to fall asleep in the bath. Not the best plan as I was living on my own at the time

    See you all tomorrow
