Pru site currently down which sucks as I took the advice offered in the week and got my fitness results refaxed and wanted to see if it was showing on my statement yet. My first year comes to an end on the 31st of July and I really want to make Gold before then otherwise my premium reduction is not worth it before the new changes sets in :(

All I need is the missing points to be added!

How does one get free Boots eye test? (from Boots health insurance provided by PruHealth). It is advertised here:
    https://insurance.pruhealth.co.uk/uk/prudential/nosessionrequired/q2a/offer.jhtml?src_id=400&za.co.generic.profile.sslContinue=Continue+in+https
There weren't any voucher enclosed in the welcome pack:confused:
I already have free health check voucher, but not eye check, so called Pru. They told me eye check voucher is different from health check, and said they'll send me the voucher.
Voucher arrived, but it's another health check voucher:mad:

It's for Boots Health Insurance (provided by PruHealth). Not for PruHealth customers.
It can be ordered from the website via Member zone - View all Vitality partners - Click Boots - Request voucher.

Can someone explain what actually happens at a Fitness Assessment? Is it just checking blood pressure etc or do you have to embarrass yourself on a treadmill?! Could really do with the 300 points before my year is up...

Well, my wife and I were interested in this deal having wondered whether the gym is for us. However, if we are going to join in the next few days then how soon could we get to Platinum? It seems to me that it would be impossible? I would go to the gym every day in the summer holidays (probably twice a day when she finishes in the evenings. Can I get 20pts for two visits whilst she can get 10pts?

We're both non-smokers as well. Any advice from someone who understands the system would be appreciated!
  • sglossop - I have just been for mine its very easy. All they do is take your height and weight to get your BMI and then they take your blood pressure. You then have to do a 3 minute step up which is very easy and it is done in one of the offices so no embarrasing yourself in front of the other members.
  • jblonde002 - If you had to join today I doubt you would be able to get to platimun by 1st November before the new changes, but it is possible to get to gold by then. If you go to the gym 3 times a week, do a fitness assesment each,do a non smokers declartion, sign up and do other online stuff then you should be fine and could get to platimun early next year. Remember to do your fitness assessment 6 months after you do your first one to pick up more points.
