How much will it cost me in total? Cannons near me is £42 off peak / £59 peak.
Why not go to their website and get a quote? Get your points up as much as you can, and get into Platinum asap (should be possible in 6 months or so);) Prices change in Nov, so if you are thinking of joining, better do it quickly.

Mines up for renewal on 3rd August. I need 272 points to hit platinum, should in theory be easy because I've only done one fitness assessment, however this was on the 2nd Feb, so, what I'm saying is can I take the other one on 2nd August? would this qualify as 6 months? or would it have to be the 3rd? Renewal day so would that count?

    Sorry for being thick guys!

    Great thanks!
It said I pay nothing for gym from Nov:p
  • :T This is still an awsome deal!!! I am on Platinum and haven't claimed in my first policy year. I am paying £2.14 for my PMI. In addition my La Fitness gym costs will only be £8 from November. Just over £10 for both PMI and gym. I don't know 'bout you but I don't expect a better deal to come around any time soon.

dannyduet, i am in a similar situation to you, my premiums have dropped to £2.20 because i hit platinum!

However, my first policy year ends on July 31st - doesn't that mean i will go back to Bronze and therefore be paying the higher amount for the membership?

I thought you lost all your Vitality points at the end of the year...?

EDIT: Just spoke to PruHealth - you lose all your points, but your status remains, so i will be on Platinum all next year regardless! This is much better for me - although i need to make sure i reach 2000 points again next year, at least there isn't the mad rush at the end of each quarter to ensure that i have been to the gym enough times.

I agree with you. The new system is great for new customers who have hit platinum. Combined with the new incentives from August (Eurostar and Mark Warner hols) this will be great. I genuinely need to use the gym so it's all well anyway. I will not expect to pay more than £15pm for PMI and gym from Jan:D. I feel bad for new customers though or those on silver/bronze:mad:

Well, there's still four months to go yet, which is the equivalent of 600 gym points alone.

And even those who have only been a member for few months should be close to silver already, so they may well find that come November they'll have hit Gold (remember you get another fitness assessment after six months - 300 points) so the extra cost won't be much and will only continue until you hit platinum.

Besides, it's only once you've served your first term that the real benefits begin to kick in, so stick with it.

Mark, they will reset your points at renewal but not your status so you keep the benefits.
