Newb question! I can see my profile online and me/missus have been quite a few times, however, we both ahve one with points and 2 with the date and "0" points?
eg 2008/06/25 - 0
Any simple reason?0 -
Below the vitality points statement:
Should zero points reflect for a particular event, this may indicate that:- the maximum permissible points have been reached for that sub-category or
- the system has not yet calculated the event. It can take up to a week to calculate an event once it has been allocated.
- You are not eligible to earn points for this event.

Just to Clarify
1500 points max (individual) is for gym vists
this is not inclusive of the fitness test..
If you go to vitaly points statement you will see that it is categorized under another heading.
Reaching 2000 points is not hard if you go to the gym 3-2 times a week.
im at 1000 points and that is only 3 months into the contract.
fingers crossed they update the website on monday and show that i have exceeded the required vists or there will be a nasty phone call coming :T
good luck everyone0 -
Just checked the Pruhealth website & it's advising new applicants for the gym deal to call the helpline as the gym rules are changing from Nov 2008 - does anyone know what these changes are yet ?
Thanks0 -
I wouldn't be surprised if they pull this very generous offer or at least make it less generous. Paying £1.50/month for gym membership at a place that charges £50/month is stupidly cheap and I wouldn't expect it to last forever.0

my thoughts exactly pound :-(
i wonder if the changes will affect existing membersQUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -
As of November, all members will be changed over to a new system based on vitality status.
Example, for virgin tier 1, and access for local club only:
If at bronze will pay 50 per month
If at silver, pay 38
If at gold, pay 22
If a platinum, pay 8
These are on top of your normal premiums. All payments will be calculated based on your status at the beginning of the month, then debited from your account at the end of the month.
However, once you reach platinum status, the gym membership will remain at that rate for the rest of that year, and the following year. If you maintain platinum throughout your policy life, the gym membership will continue to be at that rate.
Just joined this month..Still happy enough. Looking at it as a long term investment, still works out cheaper then joining a club up-front.
Did some quick calculations and worked out, based on my usage, will hopefully hit gold by the time this kicks in.0 -
I got the same explanation but I was told that if I'm on platinum I would pay £0 a month for gym membership, this is for Cannons.
They're scrapping the gym visits system (ie. 2 visits a week) and it's being replaced with a system that's based on vitality. So a platinum member would get it free and a bronze member would pay a lot more.
For me this is a better deal because I don't have to worry about having to make 2 visits per month, only getting 2,000 points in the year. I could not go at all next year and still pay £1.79 a month which is good because sometimes I don't have time to go to the gym.
I've done some calculations and I've worked out that if you earn as many points as possible (including going to the gym 15 times a month) you would pay £240 + £25 activation in the first year for the gym. Previously it was £75+£25 for the year.
For someone who already has platinum they can earn 1260 points through other ways (e.g. meal plans, fitness assessments). This means to stay on platinum they would need to go to the gym 74 times in a year, 18.5 times a quarter, 6.2 a month or 1.5 times a week. Of course people who don't do the other activities will need to go 200 times a year or 3.8 times a week!
So it's better for people who signed up a year ago, not so good for people that haven't. Even for people who have been doing it for a year there's still a few hoops to jump through to get it cheap.0 -

I am also with Cannons, when I called Pruhealth about the changes I was informed because my gym is within M25, I would have to pay £7 for gyms under the new scheme even if I had hit platinum. Btards:mad:QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -
