Just spoken pru health and the new status for LA fitnes anywhere is:
at bronze status you would have to pay 50pounds
at silver status you would have to pay 38 pounds
at bronze status you would have to pay 19 pounds
at Platinum- 7 pounds
Reading the brochure on how to get extra points, how do you access the self help articles, whis is 10 per article ( 30 month). Seems like easy points-any help greatly appreciatedFirst ever win: Samsung Genio Touch Mobile Phone!!0 -
So what provision is there if you don't want to carry on on this new deal but you signed up within the last 12 months (I signed up 3 months ago for example), would they release you from your contract? Really annoying...0

Let me get this right - so I will be paying £19 in addition to my pruhealth premium. So in total, I would be paying more for the gym than if I had bought direct from LA Fitness. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be dumping pruhealth come October 31st :mad:DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -

But come Oct, if you have hit platinum and made no claims, your premiums will drop dramatically.QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0 -
Pruhealth told me the reason for the changes was that a lot of clients found the quarterly billing system 'confusing'. yeah right!:mad::mad::mad:QUIDCO £2827 paid out since October 2007:D0

Shazam, reading the articles is an easy way to get another 30 points each month.
log on and click on Vitality on LHS
then click on Nutrition Centre on LHS
then click on Facts of Food on RHS
Click on a subject on the page and then select an article from the drop down menu
Read article. I always then click on save to library (don't know if you need to or not)
Then when you check on your vitaility points statement it will appear in Reding self-help articles.
It often appears as 0 points but then a couple of days later as 10 points.
Only allowed 3 a month but it all adds upMS Stalwart. Used site for >10 years :jMake Do, Mend and Minimise member - focussing on upcycling/repurposing and sewing0 -
We only joined in May and so are still paying the occasional users rate. Was looking forward to only paying £5 regular users rate, but from November we'll be paying £38 each (silver status , can't see us getting to gold by then)
OH was only paying £36 to the gym before we joined pru scheme. I was paying £46. Now need to find out what the direct gym membership costs are and then need to do some sums to see what effect him dropping the Pru gym membership would have on vitality points and what difference that would make to next years premium.
isn't life complicated ?!
I expect Pru didn't really get it right on this one and a lot more people took up the gym membership offer than they expected. Also, by increasing the gym fee they're hoping to cut down on the swipe/go points collecting.

Get to premium and get 100% off then it would work out cheaper, thats the only way of this system making you still save a bit more money instead of loosing out.
i will cance at end of year- but i presume its not easy to do thatFirst ever win: Samsung Genio Touch Mobile Phone!!0 -
