OK, I checked the website a bit more, after you log in, go to 'What is Vitality', then 'Earn Vitality points...' then onto 'View Vitality activities whole list'.
Lower down there's:
Please note that the following category limits apply, and that to earn Boots Vitality points the activity must be carried out through PruHealth's Vitality partners.
And the limits are:
Category Individual Family
Education 400 800
Exercise 1500 3000
General 50 100
Nutrition 1000 2000
Screening 1200 2400
Not Smoking 200 400
Perhaps Mark36 could do some screening to boost his points? Cholesterol test or dental check-up?0 -

Thanks for the tips, I was reading all the food and nutrition stuff on the website -came to 45 items! Was awarded 30 points - also got 50 for a second meal plan - can make my 2000 I guess just by reading 6 articles total in july and august. I can't believe I've been reading this thread for ages and still didn't an indication of the combined points total for fitness was capped at 1500 and included the assessments.
Doesn't seem right I should have to scrape for points when I've been to the gym 120 times in 9 months and had two fitness assessments with marked improvements though. I'm a bit fed up to be honest, especially as I will be studying and working from October and my gym visits will be in the the region of two a week makes me think I won't make platinum again.
Sod it, tonight I'm drinking beer and watching the holland v russia game  , stuff the gym. Anyone thinking of going for this should think hard, it does take some effort to make platinum.
Cheers
p.s. I'll feel guilty tomorrow and go gym again.0 -

I'm a bit surprised at what people are saying about it being a struggle to hit the Platinum level - as i've noted on an earlier post, i managed to hit it just after six months of membership.
On a different note, if people are wondering whether it is really worth it, i just thought i'd let you know what my new premium will be from July, as i have just received confirmation through the post.
The past year, i have been paying £24 a month, ensuring that i always hit my quarterly target and paid nothing on top of that for the gym.
From July, i will have to pay...£26...for the WHOLE YEAR.
That's right, just £2.20 a month for full membership to an excellent gym - outstanding!
This is largely down to hitting platinum status, and is proof that, while this deal is half decent in the first year, it really comes into its own afterwards.
If i had only achieved Gold status, the premium would have been about £10 a month instead - still great, but worth the extra push.0 -
Okay, I thought I was clear on this to begin with, but then by the end of the thread I was confused
Just moved to London and wanting to sign up to a Gym.Virgin Active looked good and there's one in Oxford street. I go to the gym at least two times a week.
Should I sign up with pru? I got a quote for the gym at £64.95 p/m which is a hefty amount
Advise? Thanks
(Oh, and if you go on holiday for a week or two, but every other week you go to the gym 3/4 times... will you be "in trouble" with whatever they do as there was a week or two you didnt go??)0 -

Your gym would charge you one amount. Pruhealth would charge you another. Look on Pruhealth's website and get a quote and compare the two.0
