I applied online on the 7th but stil haven't heard anything. Does this mean that I haven't been accepted or I should just wait for something to land in the post? It is also showing as validated on my quidco but no monetary sum is attached. Sorry for all the questions!

Sorry to be dumb, but if they have platinum status won't they be paying nothing?

Oh, I think I get it. What they paid last year is just deducted from their renewal price, which will go up. So, it's not possible to pay absolute zero?

Correct. With PMI the old you are the more likely you are to claim therefore the greater the risk to the insurer. Therefore bigger premiums. It tends to go up around 8% ish a year with age and PMI inflation although could be less.

Hi all, I have been seeing these offers on and off for months now.

We are looking to join a Gym but are a family of 4 (2 Adults and 1 child:8 and another of 3)

If we took out a joint Pru deal, I understand we would both get membership at our local VA.
Has anyone managed to tie in a deal with kids membership to Club-V?

Or would I be better to just buy a family membership without using the Pru offer.

We have also thought about taking out seperate policies to take advantage of the quido/TopCashback deal.

We do expect to go a couple of times a week (But doubt we would be much more than that)

Many thanks for anyones comments. adn to everyone helping with questions on this deal.

    If i got this right....

I had pru heath for 7 months got it for the free gym membership and when that ended i canceled ...So basically i can re order pru health and then get onto this and just pay £25 activation fee and thats it ...I want to go either to the same gym i went to or another one in holborn and so it should be free as i am a frequent user.....

So i can sing up and get this offer by paying the £25 activation fee ...thats brilliant ...Can someone confirm this for me please

    hey,
Just wondering if this pru health would work out cheaper for me?! i currently pay £115 for 3months gym membership and Porchester's (cash - no contract). Its not the nicest of gyms but has all that is needed. But I have noticed there is an LA fitness near me aswell (its much cleaner and nicer), and i was told student membership is £50 a month (too much!).

How much would it work out at with pru health?

Use one of the cashback websites on the article, click through from there to pruhealth and run a quote. Depending on the gym and how often you go the membership can be free.

    A word of warning...

I was accepted by the Pru last Thursday, but I have been unable to register with LA Fitness (the only reason I wanted the policy).

The webiste and documentation say gym membership can be arranged direct with the Pru on the phone. When I called I was told to visit a special part of the LA fitness website.

When my Pru ID was not recognised I was told it would take three working days from joining before it would work. I didn't, so I called the Pru today an was told:
    - there is a problem and they are trying to resolve it
    - they don't know how long it will take
    - they recognise my frustration (but aren't bothered, in my opinion)
    - and no you can only join LA Fitness via the website, not over the phone

Given the attractivenss of the offer I will keep the pressure up, but its a shame that a good idea has obviously been poorly executed. This problem is confined to LA Fitness as the other gyms allow you to join in person.
