i got the same email, and have a few times just swiped my hubby in after my card. He's had his policy three months and hardly goes so may just try to cancel his policy. Is it right that if he cancels his health insurance, he can also then cancel gym?
Also, one you've got the 2000 points, what sort of price does your health insurance drop to? I really didn't get that part of this whole "loophole"! So hpefully once I've got my 2000 points, my health insurance will go down (now at £32) and gym will be £5 (virgin). is that right, or am i still confused!
thanks!0 -
Just a word of warning - GET YOUR CARD SWIPED EVERY TIME!!! If you don't you will enter into petty disputes (like I am in now) with Pru Health and their customer service is not the best. You don't get called back and they then claim you were supposed to call, they don't take stock of emails and just fob you off, and they are terrible at goodwill. I have got into great shape thanks to them and still they refuse to accept that I went to the gym on one date and now I am missing a visit. LA Fitness were helpful but can't back date gym visits and their CCTV is wiped after a month.
Just a word of warning - oh and there seems to be no point in recording your own gym visits because no one seems to want to take your word for it.
HAS GOODWILL DIED???0 -
how do you get into the gym without swiping?- forgive me if a silly question.
My gym are proposing to introduce a swipe out system, so maybe that will mean they can see how long we stay in the gym and so they will no if we are making "fake" gym visits.First ever win: Samsung Genio Touch Mobile Phone!!0 -

which gym are you at? My LA Fitness have just put in a card scanner, before that you had to hand over the card to the receptionist (therefore making it difficult to swipe'n'go without looking like an idiot!0 -
I see in the most recent weekly message - Fitness First is mentioned - can you really get this with the Pru deal or was that just a typo?0

I got the email to and i am not cancelling. I am not suprised to be honest as they must be spending a lot of money on this. Add this to the fact that they are doing money off premiums when u get points ie going to the gym, can we really be suprised! Martin has always mentioned the loophole since the beginning so i am suprised it has taken them so long to change this. It still is a fantastic offer anyway so i cant really complain...yet!C'mon you Canaries!!0
