I got the email to and i am not cancelling. I am not suprised to be honest as they must be spending a lot of money on this. Add this to the fact that they are doing money off premiums when u get points ie going to the gym, can we really be suprised! Martin has always mentioned the loophole since the beginning so i am suprised it has taken them so long to change this. It still is a fantastic offer anyway so i cant really complain...yet!

I also got the email but when I logged into the site to check my points, I also went to the "Vitality Gym Statement" section where it tells you what your next quarter's premium will be, only to get the message that there was no gym membership available for this policy holder..... does anyone else get that when they log in? Maybe it's just today while they're taking a close look at things.

My thoughts exactly. Still a fantastic deal!

Also, wasnt it the well publicized concept of stoozing that led to the introdution of the balance transfer fee? Sites like these can be almost TOO good at times.

Yeah i got this email too.

Ridiculous next they will say having a sauna is not good enough - where does it stop.

This is basically unenforceable (are they going to check cctv to see what you do) -so whats the point???

I joined a Virgin Gym which is not free not £5 as i thought but actually is £15 and no-one ever told me that from what i saw at the time last year. Does anyone know if this tier 1/tier 2 thing for virgin gyms is a new innovation as well?

Like most petty fraud you'd probably get away with it. But get caught and you'll get a criminal record plus anything from a fine to possible jail time

I think most people can see that Pruhealth aren't going to be making much money out of this and have probably been quite short sighted when offering this deal and are now trying to do something about it. I've easily managed to get 26 visits a quarter in and I hit the 2,000 points to get the 100% discount just after 6 months! Come renewal I'll be enjoying a £3 premium.

Unless they're going to get gym staff to play detective I can't see them being able to enforce this, it's probably just scare tactics. Although they might report people who blatantly just walk in and back out again without doing anything. It might be safer to have a quick paddle in the pool instead of doing a swipe and go.

You can easily do this in 6 months:

    2 * meal plan = 100 pts
    1 * non-smoker = 150 pts
    52 * gym workout = 520 pts
    2 * fitness assessment = 600 pts
    20 * self help articles = 200 pts
    2 * stress centre = 100 pts
    1 * health review = 100 pts
    1 * online activation = 50 pts

There's 1820 easy points just going to the gym and doing online activities in a 6 month period. You only need 18 more visits to the gym to get the full 2000.

I go to the gym more than twice a week so I got the 2000 points slightly after 6 months.
