  • Hi,

Thanks very much for sharing your source. I've looked on my docs and the only thing I can find relates to Vitality points. If you go on the website, it also mentions on the Vitality Statement section that if you show 0 points for a certain entry on the Statement, it means that you've built up the maximum points for that category. So I would still expect it to show up as a visit, just with 0 points.

I have not seen it written anywhere that they will only count 15 gym visits per month when calculating whether you are an occasional or regular user, and if they try and enforce this I will challenge it. Indeed, it does not mention this on their website or on my documentation - the only restriction specified is that only one visit per day counts. The maximum of 15 visits, as far as I can see, only relates to the accumulation of Vitality points - I'd like to hear if anyone else has encountered problems in this area.

    Thanks

    Andy

this is the link that tells you it is a max of 15 per month but have realised that this relates to Vitality points. Just go down to Excercise and look at Gym Workout.

  • Yes, that's what I've seen too - I also received that document in my welcome pack but it is specifically talking about Vitality points as you say.

And on the link QQuaver posted, the guy does actually say that the 16th visit did appear on his statement and it took him down to regular usage, it's just that they took a payment for occasional usage before that visit was registered and he was asking whether to call them up, because they said in the email he could only go 15 times in a month (which is incorrect I think).

Well look - I'm going to build up 19 visits this month and see what happens. I'll report back! :D
  • Good Luck! so sorry missed your last posts think i was still asleep this morning when i did it.

Just wanted to warn you guys to be careful with the gym loophole. I've been a Pru/LA Fitness member since August. Cheap membership is based on x visits over 3 months. Both periods I have met the required number and both times I have been subsequently overcharged £25pm for not meeting the crieria.

    Herein lies the problem.....
You will find that the LA fitness desk has the correct number of visits (make sure you swipe in). However, not all the entries end up on the Pru site. No idea why this is.

    Solution
Get a list from LA Fitness of your dates and call the Pru call centre and challenge teh data on the Pru site - you have the evidence.

Many people must now be getting overcharged as they TRUST the system. DON'T!

I have emailed MSE directly to point this out. In the meantime, please do as I suggest.

Anyone received their 115 quid from quidco as yet? I joined in September and am still waiting. On pruhealth its showing two entries of 0.00 as paid in Feb? I am still paying for gym membership/healthcare.

I hate responding when I have nothing new to add but the same thing happened to me which means I ended up paying £75 more than expected. Worse still they tried to pull the same trick this quarter but I was on the phone almost daily ranting until I got numerous call backs and letters telling me that they had taken onboard my concern and were 'maunally' adding the missing visits (2) to take me to the required amount. Bull. Total bull and I am ready for them come April

My advice is get on the phone to Pru and make sure your complaint is noted. I went to the gym 6 times more than was recorded and never more than 14 a month. It is all SUSPECT
