Dia anyone who did this last time add family members on to their membership? As at present I have a membership for me and three teenagers at Cannons, which is oming up for renewal. Do you reckon they would just add the kids fees on top?0

I did this last time and got the £115 from quidco.
I've noticed that TopCashBack are offering £155.
Has anyone used this site?0 -
Was looking for Health insurance anyway as I've just changed job and no longer have company scheme.
Instead of adding whole family did myself and son on one policy then my wife on second policy which worked out a tenner cheaper for some reason.
Did myself and son through quidco - £115 - Tracked
Did wifes through topcashback - £155
Also Pru website says "Join PruHealth and get £100 JJB vouchers." so potentially 2 x £100 JJB Vouchers (though reasing somewhere else it says this ends 27th June, however no mention on website so may push it!)
And the Gym membership to boot.0 -

If you go along to a real independant gym, i.e. one not by these money making factories you can join with a full membership for between £20 and £30 per month and they will not make you jump through hoops or continually attack you with salesmen trying to sell you up with 'personal training' sessions with their barely qualified gym instructors.
Please keep away from the chains and go to a real gym. Save money, get real service and actually make some progress for all the work you put in.
I disagree profoundly that this is a "con". There are a number of sweeping statements here that are not borne out by my experience.
For a start, it depends where you live & what you want to do. I swim almost every day so would need a gym with a pool. I currently travel a fair few miles to swim in my local council-run pool which has limited opening hours due to schools & party use. They operate a season ticket system whch would cost £40 a month to use all the facilities. I checked with the only independent gym for 10+ miles around to have a pool (just across the road from me) and they charge £30 a month, off-peak, swimming membership only or £40 anytime use (tho still swimming only, classes & gym extra).
I took advantage of this "con" last year & signed up with Cannons down the road, full membership, use anytime, for £27 a month. (Usually £60). I got £125 cashback for joining the Pru through Quidco, had a great 6 months in luxurious, friendly surroundings. No-one attacked me and I still can't jump through hoops...
I am extremely grateful to Martin for publicising this offer and won't hear a word against it or him! :T Just hope they'll let me join again...0 -
Further to my earlier post, I have now found the Pru Policy Document, which says "6.13 Policy renewal At the end of the Policy Year PruHealth may elect to offer to the Policyholder renewal of the Policy". So, presumably, if a policyholder got enough points to get a 100% reduction in the next year's premium, the Pru could just decline to renew the policy? (If so, and you wanted a health cover policy this could be a bad thing to get into as you'd then be a year older when applying for alternative policies).0

Hi there...okay i'm a little dense here, I recently used the GLAMOUR offer to get a months free gym membership for LA Fitness and when that came to an end I became a member. I have made one payment as a full member...is there any way for me to take advantage of the Pru's offer?0

Possible but unlikely I would suspect they'd get very bad press if this happened!0 -

I assume you signed a 12 month contract? If so then i think you're tied in, is there a cooling off period in the contract at all?0 -
