No problems, you did not do yourself and favours by insulting Quentin and Wuntang, insults are against the rules and spirit of MSE.
I hope you go down the route of getting MSE to agree your business.
I'm going to set the ball rolling today with MSE thanks for that again Da Couch.
I don't know if the other two are friends of yours or not but the other two come across as keyboard hardmen/bullies to me and insead of asking you something nicely go about things in an aggressive insulting manner. I feel that i can talk to you in a normal way and therefore i am much more likely to listen to you.
I certainly do not want to offend. However i felt insulted and i had to fight my corner. It's best off if i ignore them as i do not want to be dragged down to that level from now on.
I will go and ask the MSE admin team and ignore whatever else the say as its clear they want to pick a fight and gang up on me.
But thanks again for your help and for being able to talk to someone in a decent manner.0 -
There is only one person trying anything on here over this.
Your question was hardly a "straight one" - as the procedure for this was discussed with you weeks ago when I posted the correct procedure for you:
You replied with:
So how do i go about contacting a board guide please? Is what i was asking?0 -
Look at the bottom of the forum index.

You have had nothing insulting from me.
You now stoop to making false accusations, yet don't feel the necessity to make any apology for your bum chum comment.0 -
Quentin and Wutang are fellow MSE members, who I know have helped a lot of other MSE members with their advice. I have respect for both of them as they know their stuff and give impartial advice without seeking to benefit from it personally. We occassionally disagree, as no one knows everything and no doubt learn from each other.
MSE is about helping other people and saving money, you appear like your cash back could save people money so if it can and MSE agree to it then it could be a good thing for MSE members. But until its agreed it would be best for you to just keep posting advice on the forum trying to be as impartial as possible.
For the record I'm uneasy with the link to your website in your personal details and some of the advice you give on taking out the Bupa Business Travel Policy. Its a good policy but you do not point out any of the potential drawbacks to people on MSE. Personally if you are recommending a product on a MSE forum I think you should point out any potential drawbacks as some people may just read your comments and take the policy out without realising some of the small print.
Like I said before I love MSE and its principle of being impartial and by the people for the people. I would respect you more if you took your link down.0 -

No - ok - fair play. Go against the rules and promote your cash back business.
I don't want to pick a fight, I just think you are completely and utterly out of order.
and less of the name calling please as all this "I have been in the business since 1978" will become ever so tarnished.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -

Da Couch you are a voice of reason and i feel i can discuss things reasonably/respectfully with you. Please send me the link of the offending link and i will take it down imeadiately.
Re: Travel insurance.
I am no expert on travel insurance i would like to make that clear and i do not comment if people clearly need ordinary single trip travel insurance. The Bupa travel insurance deal is just the best one i personally have come across due to it: not taking past medical conditions into account, covering business machines (laptops etc) being able to go for 180 days anyone time.
In my defence i've mentioned drawbacks i.e. Drawbacks are its business cover so you need three members minimum and even at £40 for annual worldwide multitrip, it's certainly not the cheapest, especially if you go only once per year.
When people post links saying they want pre existing conditions covered laptops covered and are going away for well over the usual 60-90 days i am trying to be helpful when suggesting Bupa travel insurance. The company i work for gets preffered rates. Cheaper than the general public get i think so i have mentioned that. But will take that down if you want. (I hope they now don't then pay over the odds as its a money saving website after all).
Even if people did come via myself for Bupa travel. Please do not think i'm making lots of money here. The commission is next to nothing. It would be very hard to make a living off put it that way. 5% commission or so for for each individual at £40 is £2 commission is not even minimum wage. Its never been something i have actively tried to sell really. Its just something i've had access to as company clients of mine often require travel as a bolt on to their compamy PMI to cover their employees whilst away on business trips and if i didn't offer it to them then another broker would and i would lose a client. Its therefore giving the client what they want and helping to cement that companies pmi scheme with myself as their broker. A happy customer is usually a loyal customer.
Some members of MSE feel that maybe they can benefit to.
Da couch if you were to show me a better policy i would join you in reccomending it if i saw someone posting a link wanting travel insurance. Be it through Quidco/Topcash or whoever.0 -
All the back biting has rendered this thread useless as far as I am concerned. The last few times I have popped in to see an update, all I have been met with is arguement. Give me a break!DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0

Can't you see how detrimental to the thread it is to have a broker using it to tout for business?
Note that he has now posted more touting, though for insurance totally unconnected with this thread!0 -
Cashback from Quidco is taking ages:rolleyes:
