Yeh, I know Nuffield have been having a crazy push to get new people in. Seeing more families actually joining. The pool at my local one where I am a member thanks to Pru is packed at the weekend with familes witht here kids.
I would not be surprised people are thinking even with the creit crunch a family membership allows you to spend soem quality time with the kids aswell as get kit.
I just hope though pru keep up the deal for the long term.

Hey all,
Can anyone tell me where I can find my pruhealth member ID number (not my policy number) other than on my card or paperwork. i.e. online somewhere ?
I want to book a stay at Champneys but need my membership number and am at work without any of the info!0 -
I would call them on 0800 092 7333.
Explain what you want to do they will probably probably take you through a string of security questions to make sure its you.Hey all,

Can anyone help?
Ive been a PRUhealth member for over 2 years now, I have got it due to health needs. IM now at the point where I have to take care of my health more ( been working too hard) and would love to join VA.
Im looking at the pru health pages, and am I right in thinking its 107 pm for natinwide clubs? I drive a lot for work and often find myself driving past a VA club ( these I see more than the others) and would like to pop in and do an hour or so on lunch hour. I would like to attend 3x pw. - and I am on bronze atm, but now starting to look at upping my status to silver/gold etc as I go.
Sorry edited to say, does anyone know where there is a weblink to what these various teirs include? I dont know if I need classic tiers/ nationwide tier etc.
Id like to have my health assessment now ( while im really unfit!) so that the difference of 3x a week would be noticed? Good plan? Will also get the fitbug this week hopefully, I do a lot of walking in my job, and would love to make the most of it. Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

Hi Lynzpower,
If you want access to EVERY Virgin active club yes i make it:
Bronze: £107
Silver £95
Gold £79
Platinum £65
If you wanted standard level multiclub you can take £40 off each of those prices.
Standard Single club membership is £57 pounds off these prices.
Sounds like you have a good plan. Remember to make one of your 'goals' a fitness assesment before you have it and you will get an extra 50 points just for acheiving your 'goal'.0 -
Thanks PMI specialist.
The thing is I live in Central London and my nearest is the broadgate one. I know I want to use Canary Riverside too, my mate goes there and adores it. They aere the classic clubs and I dont think there is any way of having Claasics and places like essex/kent/ berks/ herts/beds/bucks as this is where I drive around most of the time. I dont need "fully" natinwide, but it seeming like thats not an option?
Can you advise- is there a way to have london and south ( not scotland etc)
I really really dont want to pay that much  seems STACKS!!
considering that with other gyms are charging about 45pcm - but then of course its probably not nationwide.
Do you know what constitures "multiclub" I cant find the definaition, thanks:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.

OK, Ive just found this,
http://www.virginactive.co.uk/ClubAccess/Matrix.aspx?member=HP&type=Privilege&Club=Bank
Does this mean I can join classic clubs ( at "92) and get to go to all the ones listed?
Or that indeed, I could choose another club ( eg moorgate) that isnt a classic, and therefore will be cheaper?very confused!

If you want Canary Riverside Virgin active gym. The most expensive gym they have and you want to use some or all other Virgin gyms as well, then those are the prices. I expect they are much cheaper than the standard rates especially so when you reach platinum.
Moorgate is not on the standard list its Virgin activeTier 2 so i don't think you can get on there with the standard multi club list.0 -
Hi, I think I understand this fully but hoping somebody (PMIspecialist perhaps? )can confirm.
As a platinum member there is no increase to premiums for making a claim.....BUT the value of any claim is deducted from next years discount (100% of this years premiums when platinum), so there is no financial benefit in making a claim which is less in value than the total of this years premiums? But no loss either? It doesn't affect the following years discount?
So it is just a case of pay now or pay later?0 -

Yes your correct Stu with small claims i.e. less than your premium. Although arguably you can pay it off easier monthly and gain some interest. But with big claims there is a much bigger advantage.
Remember with platinum you get 100% of this years unclaimed base premium knocked off next years base premium, which gives you your total premium payable.
Examples
So Year 1 for example my base premium is £40 per month (£480 annually). We get 25% off that for first years discount. So total premium i actualy pay is £30 per month (£360 annually).
Year 2 the base premium is now £43 per month (goes up with age and medical inflation). My claims were nil, i achieved platinum last year so i get 100% of last years base premium off his years. £43 minus £40 = £3 per month is the premium i actually pay in year two.
Year 3 the base premium is now £46 per month (£552 annually) I made insurance claims of £240 last year and i achived platinum again. Annualy £552 (base premium) + £240 (claims) - £516 (last years premium) = £276 Annual Insurance Premium = £23 per month actual premium payable.
Year 4 the base premium is £48 per month. I claimed £20,000 to have a brain tumour removed by a top surgeon and recouperated at a private hospital and still just managed platinum. My total premium payable is still only £48 per month because that is the maximum you can pay on platinum i.e. your base premium.
If i was on Gold (75% off), Silver (50% off) or Bronze (25% off) i may be hit by a penalty clause for a big claim this is capped at 10% - 15% max.
So in year 4 my premium was £48 per month £576 per annum even though the year before my claims were £20,000
Year 5 base premium is £50. I get to platinum. No claims. £50 per month - £48 per month (last years base premium) = £2 per month total premium payable for year 5.
It s very easy to recover.0
