La fitness is free outside the M25 (£8 inside) once you get to platinum.

I can design a plan for your quickest route to platinum if you wish, get your quotes and give you all the advice you need and give you 30% of your first years annual premium cashback in around 6 weeks from the start date of the policy. It won't cost you an extra penny to join via me. I am a Pruhealth member myself i work for a large independent healthcare specializing brokerage.

Sorry for the self promotion but I am not aware of a better deal. I think many on here went through cashback websites quidco, topcash etc so you may wish to check them out too.

Some people have been asking about whether the VAT decrease will be reflected in the gym fees. In my local virgin active (Chigwell) they have an information poster saying that becasue of the decrease in VAT then gym fees will be either be a recudtion in the increase planned or in some cases they will be frozen at this years prices. They don't specify whether this applies to members who have joined through pruhealth.

Mine usually show up after about a week.

BTW its not Cannons anymore its "Nuffield Health Fitness and Wellbeing" - bit of a mouthful, I think I'll just stick to calling it Cannons!

Did you join Byfleet?

popped into Nuffield West Byfleet today to get my card. machine broken and girl said loads of issues with the new cards not registering.

Just a headsup. I have got to keep track as just need 240 more points to get to gold.

Just thought I'd share my experience of joining PruHealth whilst still being within contract at Cannons (expires 31st of this month).

Firstly, many thanks to PMISpecialist for hand-holding me through the process of signing up, vitality points scoring etc and more importantly for my cashback - which arrived yesterday! Cheers Marc.

Cannons would not let me switch to a Pru Membership, until my contract expires full stop. So on 10thNov I bought a Fitbug, alas still not arrived, in the hope of gaining 2 months of 150 points for when my new Pru Gym Membership commences on Jan1st. That said it's not the end of the world and will take a tad longer to gain Platinum status.

Having spoken to Cannons and Pru it seems my current Cannons membership card and number will cease and a new card/number will be issued on my new contract, alas I'm 99% sure I will incur the £25 fee. I was also told that I have to make my intentions clear re membership to Cannons by 15th of this month.

A couple of tips I've picked up, set yourself a Goal to be fitness assessed, thereby scoring 350 points also I've submitted my pathology results to [EMAIL="Vitalitypartners@Pruhealth.co.uk"]Vitalitypartners@Pruhealth.co.uk[/EMAIL] and the information was updated within 2 days.

So far so good......
