Hi All
Trying to work out gym costs based on status as trying to make it the cheapest option.
As it stands, I should be silver by the weekend an hope then to join Cannons on the 15th,
I then want to join canons at £30 per month each as will join on joint membership through pru.
As I will be joining half way through the month, hows it going work as all being well, 3 weeks after joining, based on points gained by gym, I'll be on gold and hence on £24 a month for us.
Or as I am joining half way through a month, am I going to be stitched for £90 - which is 6 weeks at the higher amount.
Thanks

Does anyone know if the Pru Health Gym deal with Cannons will continue now that Cannons have been taken over by Nuffield Health Wellbeing?
I called Pru Health this evening and the adviser I spoke to was unable to confirm one way or the other.0 -
Somebody posted further up this thread that Nuffield would be taking on the PruHealth deal as it is.

Yes i have heard via several fairly high up people at Pru that Nuffield health are happy continuing the deal. I am not sure they could get out of it for a few years even if they wanted to (which they don't).
Understand that Pruhealth also send alot of people for full health screenings at Nuffield hospitals, obviously as well as Pruhealth members to their hospitals as patients. It would not be in Nuffields interest to try and pull of the gym deal out they would lose alot of gym members at the very least.
I had my full health screeening at a Nuffield a month or so ago and the doctor i spoke to seem quite well informed and seemed to know quite a bit about it. He said that he'd been told they were staying with the Pru deal.
Not an official statement (i don't know whether there has or will be one).
I certainly haven't heard anything to the contary.0 -
Hi
Anyone got a email address so I can email the points team. I have registered the wife and myself but its only her registration points and not mine. Trippled checked. Trued to use the online form but says it takes 2-4 weeks to show up but as everything else has shown up, then I would presume thay can look at this.
Thanks

Phone them (on 0800 092 7333) - they are often able to fix things straight away.

Thanks for that. Just called and they have emailed the correct team.
Another question, anyone recently tried to book a health check online through roadtohealth. I have accepted both disclaimers and it keeps going to the disclaimer screen in Firefox. Using IE, the page just fails. Tried on several machines, same issue. Any ideas?

I'm looking into joining a gym as I really need to get fitter and the pruhealth deal seems to offer a good carrot to motivate me to use the gym, but I have a few questions:
I'm looking at joining a tier 2 virgin gym, so reckon my initial costs are ~£25pm on the insurance and £57pm on the gym. I'm looking to go to the gym at least 3 times a week, but realistically, how quickly could I get to gold or possibly platinum status and how much outside gym activities will it require?
FYI: I'm a 25 y/o male with no chronic illnesses.0 -
Alex, it will be cheaper for you to just join a gym directly.DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0

So after 6 months you could potentially have 2180 points and be platinum. Of course you'd need to go the gym 15 times a month which is easier said than done. You could also look at http://www.vitalitypointsguide.co.uk/downloads/vitalitypoints.pdf for more ways of earning points but I think the others cost money.0
