Good luck with your appointment EH.

And 321, sorry you've been going through a difficult time. Now's the time to pamper yourself rotten!

Well Maman, I was pretty pleased with my ASOS order actually! I ordered three pairs of jeans in three different sizes (as I have so much trouble finding jeans that fit) not expecting any of them to fit, but one did so I'm very happy with that! I ordered three pairs of heels in the hope that I would like on of them and can then return the others, and I do! Even OH gave his seal of approval on these http://www.asos.com//ASOS/ASOS-STANLEY-Pointed-Heels/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=3903250

And then I got a selection of vest tops for holiday and these scalloped edged black shorts too http://www.asos.com//Asos-Tall/Asos-Tall-Shorts-In-Linen-With-Scallop-Hem/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4022859. Despite being tall, they are quite short, but I think they still look nice and I think I can get away with them.
    No more goo hoarding!

I am trying to lift myself, starting very gentle exercise when I have the energy (walking and cycling - no swimming unfortunately as no local pool!), I am also trying to pamper myself more, DS1 bought me some lovely L'occitane immortelle products and I was having my nails done monthly but am now doing them at home.

We have booked a holiday for October so my aim is to loose weight, tone up and generally feel better by then, will be following your posts for inspiration!

Welcome on board 321, the holiday sounds like just the tonic you need. You are doing all the right things and hopefully things can only improve from here on in; focus on getting back to full health and enjoying some self indulgent pampering and nice girly treats.

Sorry been AWOL but life is abit grim at the moment. Very tired and feeling rather low and under the weather.

Speaking of weather please can we have some sunshine. I,m not bothered about heat but I do so dislike these dark gloomy days.

    Hey ho.

    Good morning all

Feeling a bit better now thanks. Last week wasn't too good but I guess I just need to expect that from time to time. I took things easy and had plenty of rest and I do feel a bit brighter.

Yesterday was lovely here so the boys and I set to in DS1's jungle of a garden. He has a huge garden and it was once probably very lovely but it is completely overgrown and we are steadily "hacking our way through the undergrowth" in true David Bellamy style. There is a private courtyard entrance. Now that the scaffolding is down I am concentrating on this bit. I'm turning a "dingy alleyway" into a lovely little urban space. One of the neighbours has now christened it "The Hanging Gardens of Babylon".:rotfl:

After a day pottering in the garden we went to see The X Men movie - with two of my favourite Hollywood Hunks - Hugh Jackman and Michael Fassbender. Then after that a lovely risotto in one of my favourite Italian restaurants. So all in all a really lovely day - just what the Dr ordered.

I noticed the restaurant had all been redone since my last visit - very sophisticated Italian designer decor (the loos were so posh!!!!). Needless to say the designer in me was taking good note.

Today I'm helping DS2 at his house - a general clear up and a couple of tip runs. The kitchen is almost complete - if I say so myself it looks fab. I'll try and post piccies at some point.

So all in all I'm feeling a lot better now. Can't say the same about my poor OH but I make sure he's comfortable and well cared for.
I've just set up a mini fridge in his room - going to keep some special treats in there - just little puddings like gooseberry fools, tiramasu - some of his favourites. It was one of his carers' ideas. I've also starting taking him in more home cooked favourites such as curries etc. The new cook in the home is ok but she is not very imaginative. OH can only eat food that is pureed and some of her offerings are very dull and bland. OH likes a bit of spice in his life!!!

Other than that nothing new this end. Not feeling or looking very Fab but I'm managing the basics.

I've not managed any yoga so that has to be on the agenda this week and a bit more gardening. I don't know whether I can class it as exercise but I do find it very therapeutic.

Rummer - glad you enjoyed your night out.

Sweetcheeks - you sound in good form. ;)

Maman - love the TGIF dance. Made me chuckle.
