You sound like you're in a good place floss.:Tto your friend for giving you compliments.
I had my nails done today and have made appointment for manicure/pedicure in time for my holiday in a couple of weeks. Haircut booked for Thursday. And I've started using a bit of fake tan after my shower so that I don't look lilywhite.
Generally I have my eyebrows waxed. Has anyone tried threading?0 -
I have tried threading twice - I'm afraid both were negative experiences.
Both times they have removed far too much hair and I have ended up with super skinny almost gone brows despite me asking for only the grown in hairs to be removed and main shape left. I also had some of the hairs above the brow removed... Which I always thought was a a no no. All in all both times took me a whe to get brows back ( I'm naturally blonde so not overly hairy to remove hair above brow!) and although it felt nice I wouldn't do it again.0 -
Forgot to say.. Well done on all the fabbing and exercising going on... Sounds like everyone is doing well.
LL such lovy posts from you- thank you! I also need to remember to sit up/stand up more!
Floss well done on ex erodes bike and sounds like a lovely day.. Friends are good for the soul
Shandy... Wonderful news on the skiing... Glad you had a great holiday
Rummer swimming sounds like and excellent start to your adventures with your children
I joined the gym last night so I will be calling in the morning to book an induction and booking some classes! My best friend goes, it's the council gym and they seem to have best classes so looking forward to having support to go, she is very into it!!
Cleaned out all bottles in my shower last night do lots of new pampering things in there to get me started and encouraged to scrub etc
Hope you are all well ladies

I know that an exercise bike isn't for everyone but I like the convenience of mine, it has quite a few pre-programmed "routes" as well as being able to change the settings myself.
I love Shrewsbury, although I can end up getting carried away in the shops! One of the first fabbing things I did was to buy a bottle of almond shower oil from L'Occitane, DH treated me to it as I nearly fainted when I saw it cost £17.50. It gorgeous though and my skin feels and smells gorgeous whenever I have a shower.
Oh and my hands are starting to look a bit better already.0 -
I've had my eyebrows threaded a few times and prefer it to waxing. I think you get a better shape, more control I suppose. Just make sure you tell the person that's doing it that you want to keep the thickness but tidy it up to avoid having too much taken off!
I've got a MASSIVE ASOS order arriving today. I did another clear out of my wardrobe this weekend and decided that I need to fill the holes in my wardrobe (especially as I'm going on holiday in a month). The thing with ASOS is that returns are so easy, so I ordered loads knowing that I will be returning most of it. I ordered loads of jeans all in different sizes in the hope that at least one will fit me!No more goo hoarding!

Hi Everyone - not much to report. OH not doing too well, I'm feeling a bit below par - hardly surprising. So just taking things relatively easy for now.
Sitting here with a face mask on as I type - multi tasking :rotfl:
Good to see you all fabbing away.0 -
Hi Ladies
I have been having a quick read through your posts and you are quite an inspirational bunch!!
I have been ill for the last 18 months (breast issues) and things have improved but are still not resolved. During this time I have had about 7 months off of work and had to reapply for my job (was told this on my first day back from sick leave!!).
This has all really knocked my confidence, I am aware of my breasts being odd sizes, lopsided, dressings on one boob and occasional 'smells', I have gained loads of weight as I have been unable to exercise (due to chronic inflammatory reactions and ongoing infections, surgical procedures etc), I have been plagued with cold sores and my skin has gone to pot.
I am lucky in that my husband has been lovely through out this saga, tells me I am still sexy (although I feel far from it!) and my girlfriends and family have been extremely supportive, often telling me they don't know how I've carried on smiling (the antidepressants help!!) but my self esteem and confidence are still pretty low.
I am trying to lift myself, starting very gentle exercise when I have the energy (walking and cycling - no swimming unfortunately as no local pool!), I am also trying to pamper myself more, DS1 bought me some lovely L'occitane immortelle products and I was having my nails done monthly but am now doing them at home.
We have booked a holiday for October so my aim is to loose weight, tone up and generally feel better by then, will be following your posts for inspiration!
Take care you fabulous ladies.

Hello lovely ladies,
Thankyou for your kind words and advice. Still obsessing over my neck, but think you are correct LL there's a deeper reason/issue which i have been giving some thought to. Funny that a couple months ago i was not bothered with my neck and now i am, totally irrational i know!
Well after crying on the phone for an hour to a friend/ work colleague this evening i am going to try to get a gp appointment in the morning as can't go on like this, i'm not happy, lost my zest for life and feel so low and like I got brain fog i hate it. Not sure what is going to happen workwise but baby steps .
Thanks for listening to me rant xx0 -
I'm so glad you've resolved to go to GP eh.
I'm sure you're doing the right thing to get some professional advice. Let us know how you get on.
321, sounds like you've been having a hard time too. I'd recommend you look to a healthy eating plan which will be good for your weightloss as well as your general wellbeing. Plenty of fruit and veg, especially veg. I lost 3+ stone that way (with Slimming World) and have kept it off for almost 3 years.:D
I used to use a lot of L'Occitane products. It may be an old lady scent but I like the lavender stuff. I've lots of smellies to use up at the moment but I'll definitely buy more L'Occitane after reading the recommendations. Currently I'm using up a lovely, earthy/herby Clarins shower gel.:)
I had a good time trying on all my holiday/summer clothes today and had a bit of a prune as well so some have gone in the bag for CS. I could manage with what I've got so will only buy more if it's something I'm really sure about.
pq, do tell us about the ASOS order.0 -
All the best with your GP appointment EH.0
