Week one of C25K done and dusted. Only another 8 more weeks to go  in some ways it feels like a really long time but I know it will be here before I know it
Time for mini manicure tonight, nails need polish removing, a buff up and some cream rubbed into the cuticles. They need filing but it sets my teeth on edge when they're longer so may have to clip them (as opposed to biting them like I normally do).
Going to have a nice soak in some Epsom salts later too

Is it the 'Even Better Eyes' cream that you use? I don't have really dark circles but could do with a bit of brightening especially as I don't like wearing too much 'foundation' type products around my eyes and in the summer I just tend to wear a bit of bronzer.
Hello,
Yes Maman, it's the even better eyes.. I really like it, it given good effect. There is also the no 7 dark circle corrector. I have both, no 7 is 3 for two at the moment.
Happy shopping0 -
None of the ones like ysl or the Clinique one work for me. I think they just draw attention to my dark circles. The only one I found any goid was the beauty without cruelty one and I can't get it anywhere now. I use the collection 16hr concealer on my circles over the yellow concealer if my skin is dry. If it's more normal I use the revlon photo ready stick concealer.
Claire's accessories are doing a 2 for 1 on earrings. I use them for silver studs and hoops because I'm always losing earrings so I have just stocked up again.0 -
Dazed and confused.. Those are brightening eye creams not concealer so you would still need to use your concealer.
I use airbrush by Clinique and I love it.. Only where you are dark though and not all way under eye or you will be highlighting the 'normal' coloured parts which will in turn highlight how dark the dark parts are.... If that makes sense?!
After no weekend off its time for much zzzz from me.. Night all.0 -

That's what I thought you were talking about a product like airbrush (completely forgot what it was called). If I use something like that I use a concealer but wouldn't put my yellow one underneath. I just don't think they work on me. I end up using them as a highlighter more than anything.
I have tried a lot of eye creams though and nothing seems to make a difference to my dark circles of doom0 -
Hi everyone,
Hello to all the newbies.
Not had chance for a thorough read will try later if I have chance.
Have been missing for a while. I'm currently in the middle of my last assignment for my OU module (due mid May), so together with a few other online courses I'm doing, looking after my relatives dog and the usual housework/trying to make a bit of extra money I'm very busy atm.
I have slipped a bit over the last few weeks, so my aim for this week is to get back on it. Eating's gone off the rails perhaps due to feeling a bit low again. H related as usual, mostly I'm able to ignore and get on without it affecting me too much but it's my birthday soon. It's one ending in 0 and the family are wanting to make a fuss. DS2 has paid for all family in my house to go away to the coast for a couple of nights. (not on the actual day) H's response 'it's hardly worth bothering with' and then he has also asked if I want to do anything on the day. Problem is whatever we do H will expect him to pay and I think the cost of the mini break is enough. It's really embarrassing this attitude H has. I haven't go expensive tastes due to never having had the means so a walk with the dog, calling at a pub/cafe for lunch or a meal out in the evening would be lovely but as it's my birthday i know i won't be allowed to pay and the thought of H angling for them to pay puts me off. Left to me I'd leave H out but the family feel it's not an option (he's their Dad after all). Just makes me think may as well treat it as just another day as it's all too much trouble. I always have to consider H's response/attitude and tbh when it's mine or someone else's celebration it shouldn't be like that. So anyone have any ideas?
H has also been diagnosed with some borderline health problems which he is playing on and this is sending me up the wall. I have things wrong but just get on with things. Think I'm ready for a holiday pet sitting again!
Sorry for the moaning post - needed to get it off my chest.
Hope everyone on here is okay.
Now for a walk in the sun hopefully it'll help.
Have a good day all.Frump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Well done! It's a great program and gives you such a fantastic sense of achievement after completing each run. There's a lovely longstanding C25K support thread on here somewhere if you haven't already found it. I could kick myself really as it took me ages and several attempts to finally make it to the end of week 9 and then I never went again because weather got too warm for me to run.Mortgage

Hello all
I'm pleased to say that I'm keeping up my skin care resolution - every night without fail I'm removed my makeup and done the cleanse/tone/moisturise thing :j. Today I also popped in to the origins counter at John Lewis and had a free 20 minute mini facial and was given 3 samples (hopefully to use on my holiday!). I'm going back there in a few weeks as they have a deal on where you pay £10 for a full facial, then can redeem the £10 on anything on the counter. I love their toners, so it's a fairly good deal.
On the downside, I've been very-low carbing for 3 weeks now and don't think it's made any difference at all. I'm not going by the scales, just by how well my clothes fit, but they're as "snug" as ever. I'm doing the same as I always have and the weight has come off before, so I'm going to persevere for now (and it has other benefits for my blood sugar levels etc). But still annoyed.
My wardrobe is still bursting despite a major clear-out but I've discovered a new tactic - I wore a shirt today that is really too short (I had to wear a long vest underneath it was so short), I saw myself in the mirror at work and realised what a bad look that was, so into the charity pile it goes (after washing obviously). Maybe I'll need to do that with every outfit - wear it for a day just to make sure it IS right for me...

Hi everyone, been lurking for a while now and found that i want to be a part of this thread, if i can
I suffer from anxiety and panic attacks, so ive been trying to make an effort with my appearance every day to make myself feel a little better, i came up with the theory if i look like ive got it all together, ill feel like ive got it all together, if you can see what i mean.
I treated myself to new products for a new skin care routine, painted my toenails again, just making an effort overall, and feeling a lot better about myself.
Would love some friends online

Hi Katie - Welcome aboard. Yep we are a friendly bunch on here.
You are taking exactly the right approach - if you make that little extra effort to look better then you will feel better and then it just snowballs.
Sounds like you've made a very good start
Well it's been very busy here as usual but today managed to combine a bit of business with pleasure. After a site meeting DS2 and his lovely girlfriend and I spent a nice afternoon out, getting my mobile fixed (don't ask….) afternoon tea, a mooch round the shops, followed by a lovely dinner in one of my favourite restaurants.
I was very tempted to treat myself to a fab necklace but thought better of it. I need a new necklace like I need a hole in the head - even if was a very pretty little emerald and an absolute bargain. :rotfl: The matching ear-rings were also rather nice;)
The old pre MSE me would have made the - er hem - "investment" without a second thought. However, the new improved, more fiscally aware me is rather more circumspect these days.
Going to pop over and see OH and then an early night.0
