Hello folks
Some good fabbing going on! NoahsPennilessMummy that sounds like a fab outfit
I'm not doing too well today. I'm at work, so wearing the jeans I did the grounds work in yesterday, trainers, Tshirt and fleece. No point wearing clean jeans if I'm just going to be doing more mucky work but I feel a fright
I have curly hair, and read the other day about washing hair with conditioner & no shampoo to keep the frizz at bay so I'm trying that. So far I can't see a difference but I'm using masses of conditioner to get a lather so it doesn't feel very MSE.
Went to yoga last night. Every week I say I'll go and then I get in from work, sit down with a brew, and can't be bothered... which is daft cos I love yoga and it's good for me! So I plan to try harder in future. Also downloaded an app called Office Yoga that was recommended somewhere, with 75 stretches you can do quickly. I'll see how that goes.
Gearing up for the MoonWalk in June so meeting some others on Sunday for a 20 mile training walk  I'm only up to 12 miles in my own training so it might be a struggle
Have a fab weekend everyone

Forgot to say I've started oil pulling. Anyone else do it?

Noah After you said that you had pinned up your hair I had a look on you tube and I am going to try some 50s hairstyles as they had some great tutorials online. My hair is long and sometimes it looks a bit like curtains so I am looking forward to trying some new styles
Another thing I need to do is to improve my makeup application skills. To be honest I rarely wear any as I have been blessed with good skin however it would be good to create a dramatic look for nights out so I will have a look for you tube tutorials on that too. What I need to do is practice so that when I big night comes round I am not trying something for the first time :rotfl:
The healthy eating continues and I even chose salad and skipped the cake when I was out for lunch todayTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -

Hi girls,
today has been a glam day for me.....had a nice bath and blow dried my hair afterwards. I had tried a Tresseme Hair treatment and i was dismayed that my hair was just as dry :-(
Floss thanks for the recommendation with the oil, i am gonna have a look on Superdrug/Boots to see if i can track it down and give it a try. Also I didnt even think about not actually having my hair bleached anymore! I usually walk in the hairdressers, let them do what they want and walk out skint...really very not MSE :-(
Whichwhy I have been watching the hairdressers but they seem to be able to twist their arms in some Harry Potteresque magical ways to get a hairdryer to perform, I have really fine hair and it just sticks to my head...I need some major volume. Been thinking about some cheap clip in extensions to bumf it up a bit :-)
I also have the dreaded facial hair and it is really prominent on my tash. I have avoided waxing and threading cos it leaves big open pores so I slap some Veet on thats especially for your face. Works a treat :-)
Noah I am so jealous, I want your fabulous hair!
So tonights plan
1. Sort out my fingernails
2. Look for some effective hair treatments
3. Have a look at some hair tutorials on youtube
4. Cleanse, tone and moisturise my face

Thank you for all the great links :j
Well in honour of fab friday I went shopping with my Advantage points and I got some hair styling bits and pieces, St Moritz self tan and a tanning glove
Then I have spent the last hour playing with different 50s hairstyles and I have mastered one and have had a few disasters :rotfl: Not tackling the makeup today that can be for another night. I have had great fun and may have discovered a new look!Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I have thick horrible coarse hair that takes ages to dry and is prone to bouffy big mess if left even slightly damp but my arms get tired of holding onto a hair dryer for ages and being a lazy moo I never did finish the job properly and almost every day was a bad hair day.
Last year after reading some great stories about them on MSE I bought myself a hot air styler, which has proved to be a great investment.
I have this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/1118142.htm
which is way too hot for my liking and I only use it on the lowest heat and power settings after I have dried roughly with the hairdryer but it has made a dramatic impact on my ability to get anywhere near that nice smooth / salon finish on my hair that lasts well into a second day without me needing to fiddle with it.
There are lots of others to choose from, so worth doing some research and reading reviews on them before committing but most of what I have read have been in favour.Mortgage

I'm another that need blowdrying tips so I'm going to look on youtube. I have very high maintenance hair, fine and thin and currently in a bob just below ear lobes. I spend lots on my cut and highlights at my hairdresser and then have to blow dry it very carefully. Oh how I envy Waity Katy (aka Duchess of Cambridge) with her travelling hairdresser.
A bit of plucking and trimming keeps my 'moustache' at bay so far and while I have eyebrow waxing regularly I've avoided it on upper lip because I have this worry that it might make it worse. Any views/theories/experiences?0
