Hey SS! Thank you for popping into my diary on your busy week. I am so glad to pop in here and see that you're starting to get there with the new job! The old one definitely wasn't for you. I've been there in jobs like that and the relief at handing in my notice and walking out of the door has always made me realise just how much it was affecting my health.

I have been in my own job for 5 years now, and honestly I have seen over 20 people come and go.The only person that is left from when I started is a woman who has been there for 24 years now and is like furniture. Everyone else has gone. It is a high pressure job, and when new people start they find it very intimidating.

I will give you the same advice as I give them. It takes 6 months to 'get it' no matter what it is. Give yourself a break. Rome wasn't built in a day, and no matter what the job role, it takes time to learn the ways of a new company and a new boss. The first few weeks you should concentrate on remembering the company name and address! If you manage that, you're on form. Stop worrying; no one is expecting you to come in, know it all, knock everyones socks off and dance a jig every day. You're NEW. I am still learning even now, 5 years in.

Sending many more positive vibes your way. You are doing great! And hijack as often as you like missy. I never knew what could be done with tomatoes either!! ;)

    Hi Liltdiddylilt :hello:

Thanks for popping by - you are always welcome too.

Thanks too for the wise advice, it all makes sense :). I hate letting my family down and wish I'd been a bit more vigilant before going to work for a couple of morons (big mistake which I've learned from). But it could be worse and I've got to make the most of things now - who knows it could all be for the best. Plus I'm enjoying working minutes from home and having an extra day off :D. (It's not all bad).

    Hello Gib :hello:

It was very positive thank you. :):)

I can feel myself starting to relax more now :)

    It's such a great feeling. :)

    Thanks for your support. X

    Hi All

Had two new tyres fitted to the car tonight. Booked them at Kwikfit via Quidco. I thought I was going to get 8% if I went in to the centre rather than 3.25% for fitting at home! but it's only 3.25 for tyres. Oh well, it works out at nearly £5 and because I bought Michelins I can claim a £10 fuel card. Have put them on the Tesco cc so will get the points and also saved £40 for booking online. Really pleased, especially as the guys in my local KW are really nice (plus I had free coffee and mags while I waited).

Dinner was large fish fingers and chips from Mr Ts plus the 16p mushers from Lidl, all bought at the weekend. So far the £18.30 remains untouched.

I had some leftover smoked salmon (from the freezer) and cream cheese sandwiches for lunch - very delicious and makes a change for me - better not get used to it.

Work went well, getting back into the swing of it, so fingers crossed it keeps on like this.

Still waiting for the cashback from buymobiles - will need to chase them again tomorrow. Also switched to Daligas now so should receive my overpayment back from Scottish Power too.

I think that's it for now. Nothing exciting. (Thank goodness). :rotfl:

I always take advantage of the free drinks at garages too :D The £10 fuel card is a great bonus. Well done :)

    Thanks Ali

Btw I get the same problem with nectaradpoints. My ipad forgot the password earlier in the week and I've been trying to renew my password without success. I need to get on soon as have earned none this week. :)
