Just catching up and hope you're ok SS.
I am like you I think - a worrier. A new job takes time - have to learn to walk before you can run in it - add value where you can with the skills and knowledge you took with you, learn (and make lots of notes if your memory is anything like mine :rotfl:) and ask questions on the new stuff.
Sure cake will go down well too
It WILL all fall into place and your comfort levels will increase day by day.Sending positive and supportive vibes

Happy Saturday to everyone
I just wanted to report receiving my £17 from Energylinx - thanks to Ali-ok. :rotfl: (sadly buymobiles casback is still 2 months overdue).
Thanks for the supportive vibes - I think they are working.
Thanks P&F, you are right. The actual work was just what I wanted, but the organisation was !!!!. the lunatics were running the asylum, and wouldn't listen. Glad to have escaped. Need to find somewhere people think the same way I do.
Thanks Gib. Fell asleep on the sofa the other night and it was morning when I woke up. Feel like I'm truly starting to regenerate. (Is that the right word! LOL).
Was also reading an article about leadership. http://goalsandachievements.com/category/how-to-successfully-transition-to-leadership/
This guy reckons you need to be prepared for 10 to 12 hour days, and I definitely wasn't ready for that when caring for a teenager mostly on my own and especially when the pay didn't compensate to make other adjustments.
To do that I would need to work for and with people I admire and respect, doing something that makes a difference. Not for money grabbing fruit loops.
Onwards and upwards. Have a great weekend to all.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Yay to the cashback arriving, great stuff. :T
Sounds like the week has panned out well, hope that's the case
Look forward, not back and 'work smarter, not harder' is a good motto too. Definitely got to like the people to make it worthwhile.Back on the DFW Wagon:

Hi Ali
yes definitely Yayyyy! DD has asked for an optical drive for the PC = £29.99. The £17 has gone towards that, so only £12.99 from the budget.
Wish I could say the same for the buymobiles cashback (now A1 Comms or mobiles or something) - shame on them as I've been waiting for over two months. Energylinx were fab - paid really quickly and great customer service - thanks for the tip - I didn't even know about them.
Week has panned out well thank you and I have relaxed a little and am starting to see that I am lucky to have a great manager, good team and the possibility of learning some useful stuff - i.e. at the end of the year I may not have a job but will be in a better position. Just got to stop myself worrying about it and tackle it when (and actually IF) it happens. *sorry I don't think I made it very clear in my last post that the 'fruit loops' were at the previous job*.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Thanks Gib, getting there :-)
I've just been out for the weekly shop and didn't do so well....
Thought I'd try Lidl as I keep driving past each week and not even realising.
Really liked it, e.g. cucumber 22p!!! carrots 65p vs 80p in Mr Ts. But I got a few extras that seemed real bargains e.g. mushy peas 16p (16p!) Veetee microwave rices at 79p each and a few other bitsincluding a measuring jug set for £1.99 which is actually a bargain as it contains 3 jugs which can also be used to measure dry goods (a bonus for when the batteries run out in the scales mid-way through an important bake). However, I spent £29.01 and still had more bits to get in Mr T's.
So Mrs T's started out pretty good, but then for some reason ended up at £67.01. I did buy two pork shoulders (I know they've been half price for ages but for some reason I thought I'd put one in the freezer ). Then I bought more spread/butter which was a bargain, but we've got enough now for a couple of months. I also bought more cheese which I'd also bought in Lidl - oh well always used. Treated us to a box of Celebrations for £2 and bought a couple of greetings cards, topped up the coffee Kenco £4 for 200g and got a Badedas shower gel and some face wipes for me.
Total spend £92.48  and I'm supposed to be sticking to £50 a week. Going to look at the effect on my budget tomorrow rather than tonight as a bit late now. I''m not too worried really, but I will have to rein this in, I have got lots of Pitta breads, crispbreads, couscous etc, and also another joint, and the bags of shopping I had to put away was amazing, but the whole point of shopping light (i.e. £30 a week was so that I wouldn't have all of this in the cupboards).
Going to give myself a talking to later, after we've finished the chocs ..:rotfl:OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Happy Monday everyone.
Just having a cuppa when I should really be getting ready for work
Had a lazyish weekend yet again, apart from overspending at the supermarket I didn't really do much on Saturday.
Yesterday was similar although I did manage a 30 minute run - just pleased that I actually felt motivated to do it again. Things have turned a corner I hope.
Sadly lots of ironing and tidying to do this week, especially as both the plumber and electrician are here on Friday. I need to do a bit each evening this week to get the spare room in shape as there is work happening on a radiator in there. That will be a motivator.
I posted off SILs card yesterday and returned DDs trainers for an exchange. Need to book my tyres now and am going to book kwikfit via Quidco. It's 8% if I go and sit in kwikfit or 3.5% if they come to my home or work. On £150 that's about £6 - hmm can't decide as I could take a book with me - decided I'm going to go and sit in. I need all the pennies I can this month. Plus there's a £10 fuel voucher with the ones I've chosen.
Right off to work, feeling more positive although still with new job nerves, well it is only the third week (being kinder to myself see).
Will report later - will it be good or bad - in the balance at the moment, although it's looking good..:)OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

I'll take something with me to do. I have a book on the ipad too.
Had a good Tuesday at work so really pleased. I also just came back from my second run this week. It's great that I actually feel like exercising now - I think the stress must have switched my exercise button before. :T
Hope you are having a good week.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10
