I joined in mid April. So not the speediest of service but might explain why some others have still to get a magazine.

Although you do need to remember that Lloyds give you 30 days to change your mind before locking you into what you ordered, so that would be mid May, so the service wasn't that slow considering.

I've complained twice now about receiving an unrequented copy of Harpers Bazaar. No sign of them doing anything about it so if they don't respond to me next week I'll be demanding compensation... Again!
If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.
If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.

I thought that the restricted choice of advertisement containers aka. magazines was an insult to my diverse aesthetic tastes. So I chose not to receive any magazine. A choice of a DVD download would have been welcome for those not so involved with printed material.

Perhaps others can suggest better freebies than the read today : in the garbage tomorrow that Lloyds' is offering.

    Recycle paper wherever possible.

Wasting at least 1&1/2 hours of my life on the phone and not receiving a benefit they offer.

If you waited 2 hours in a restaurant only to be told they'd lost your order would you just walk out?

It's my money they have so I expect them to deliver.

Or perhaps some vouchers that you could use to go and watch said film and 5 others at your local Vue? Oh look, they already offer that.

If you want a DVD so you watch the same film 6 times, well, you could just watch the same film 6 times at the cinema :)

Considering I don't normally pay until I've had the meal, yes. I'd just go somewhere else and they'd lose my future business.

However, refusing to deal with Lloyds just because a freebie hasn't landed on your doorstop within 5 minutes of opening the account seems a little harsh.

I wish there was a Vue local to me but it would probably take an hour for me to get to my nearest by public transport.

I've gone for a magazine, but I would have preferred better choices.

I have a Vue within 4 miles, but I've never been as the cost has always been extortionate. It either costs me £3.30 to park the car, or £3.50 to get there and back on the bus. Car takes 15 minutes, Bus takes 45 minutes (plus waiting for one to turn up). Then the film cost of £8.25 and the ridiculous cost of the refreshments (and if you take your own, you are told to either consume them before entering or dump them).

Would have much preferred a magazine in my interest, but the magazine selection is very poor.

The cinema tickets do seem the best value however - £8.25 * 6 = £50, or thereabouts.
