You need 2 different DD 'mandates', not two different 'organisations'...2 savings accounts, a savings account and a credit card, 2 credit cards will all satisfy the condition even if they're the same organisation.ffacoffipawb wrote: »Is this correct - don't the DD's need to be to different organisations?0 -
Thanks for confirming.YorkshireBoy wrote: »You need 2 different DD 'mandates', not two different 'organisations'...2 savings accounts, a savings account and a credit card, 2 credit cards will all satisfy the condition even if they're the same organisation.
I have now opened a Tesco instant access account to go with my internet saver for this Lloyds account.
I have a Santander e-saver but they have mislaid my D/D form and I can't be bothered sending them another one. A second Tesco account is more straightforward.0 -
Despite complaining two weeks ago the unrequested copy of Harpers Bazaar arrived yesterday... Useless!
I sense a third formal complaint coming on.If the ball had gone in the net it would have been a goal.If my Auntie had been a man she'd have been my Uncle.0 -

The Instant Access account comes with an ATM card. I was depositing £4/month across several DDs and once the 12 months was up, I went to an ATM and withdrew £40 - paid for a decent night out and didn't even feel it!0 -
Opened a Club Lloyds account online on Wednesday but they wanted to see ID. They seem overly cautious as the last three accounts I've opened with different banks have all just done electronic checking.
Went into a branch today for them to take copies of documents. First I was told that they didn't think it was possible to apply for the Club Lloyds account online.
After resolving this an advisor attempted to take me through the entire application process again, which I didn't have the time for. He wasn't very amused when I insisted on using the application I'd already completed (not sure if this was commission related!).
After finally taking photocopies these apparently had to be sent off because they couldn't access the online application reference in branch.
Quite a poor experience really, hopefully this is not a sign of worse to come.0 -

I'm guessing that there will be a lot of these turning up in the hopes that nobody spots the switch. For God's sake - Harper's Bazaar - who'd want that?0 -
If you want to switch an account to Lloyds, do you request the switch as part of the application?0
-
It's generally not a good idea to request a switch before your new account isn't fully usable. You should have full online access, a debit card and a PIN before you ask for the switch to commence. Otherwise you could find yourself with no access to money. If you want to switch an account to Lloyds, do you request the switch as part of the application?0 -
Thanks innovate, but it wouldn't be my only account.
When I opened a Santander account recently I was told I had to set the switch up when I applied. I was just wondering if the same applied to Lloyds.
If you're a new customer can you get into Internet babking straight away or do you have to recieve a code or a card reader before you can use it?0 -
apologies, I read your post as a newbie questionThanks innovate, but it wouldn't be my only account.
no bank forces you to switch as part of the application. Some of them allow you to apply for the switch at the time of applying for the account, but you can switch any time you like. Personally, I would never switch to an account that I do not have full access to.When I opened a Santander account recently I was told I had to set the switch up when I applied. Lloyds don't do card readers. I can't remember how quick or otherwise getting online access is since I had my accounts with them for years. Easy enough to find out for a new customer though. If you're a new customer can you get into Internet babking straight away or do you have to recieve a code or a card reader before you can use it?0
