  • I've just put in a claim to Paypal.

Ordered SIM over the week-end, received and activated it this afternoon.

So I've just blown £20 for nothing.

Thank you, Mr Lewis. I joined this scheme only because you promoted it in your last round-robin email.

Mine lasted 6 months, but I also ordered a spare one which I had hardly used, £30 for 6 months
    & My son paid £5 & lasted 18 months- can't complain.
I have now ordered three mobiles payg 321with £10 top op. Hope that I don't get signal issues & also hope that I get a pac code from Ovivo.

Any recommendations for a VERY light user? (i.e. basically emergency use only)

Am guessing back to GiffGaff, but not checked out latest offerings....

I too am a low user. I have ordered a Three 321 payg sim. Hope that I do not get signal issues.

Was great while it lasted. Always suspected that the business model was unstainable though.

A customer service lady the other day told me that they were doing very well. I believed her too.

What has annoyed me though is that my partner has just finished her 3 contract and paid 20 for her ovivo sim. She has now lost the £15 credit and didn't have chance to use any of the allowance. And she ported her number 2 days ago to ovivo. She is annoyed with me because I persuaded her to switch to ovivo.

Perhaps not - but to promote this shower just days before it goes belly-up?

Surely there was a whisper? Not to those of us reading Martin Lewis's email, maybe, but to those with their ear to the ground and enjoying a reputation as a bit of a financial guru?

    No?

Was going to get this sim when it was posted on site, but thank goodness read all of post where Martin said it was a new supplier and if there were problems could be issues getting your money back,he then gave alternatives ie giff gaff ,3 etc and their deals, none of these deals were as good as original but you did have the back up of using established provider.

    Thank you for your reply.

But I understood that Ovivo were NOT a new supplier, as we have people here gloating over having had two or more years of service.

I'm delighted for them - but paying £20.00 for a three-minute phone call following activation of SIM this afternoon seems a little expensive to me.

And surely accepting money for goods which the company knew would not function within the week constitutes fraud?

Jesus guys it's £20 not £2000, it was a good deal while it lasted sure some will loose out but is that not life as for ML give him a break, if he knew a whisper do you think he would be sending us emails telling us it's a good deal?
