Well quite a few people have the same pac coe as mine. Maybe there is a limit to how many times they can use the pac code. Like 1000 uses or something.

Anyone would common sense can see that there aren't enough digits in pac codes to allow for every PAC code to be unique.

Every PAC request required both phone number and pac code as well. Not just pac code on its own.

Yes they can be, as they are only valid for 30 days. Unless there is a massive migration of 1 000 000 users within a 30 days period from one single provider, every PAC code could be unique.

    Sorry to be pedantic...

Paypal will not cover you for this. As ovivo have delivered a working product to you. Paypal disputes do not provide any cover for loss of service etc. Like you just found out when you were stuck on whether to file "item not received" or "item significantly not as described" neither of these apply in this instance.

So if you are pushing ahead and ticking any of these boxes you are committing fraud.

For loss of service, you will have to contact the bank for a chargeback. I just phoned the bank and it's unlikely the bank will help. Bank wanted to know if the £20 was for the sim or service. Look at the image above. The £20 was for the sim. The service charge is £0 - this is what you're entitled for the chargeback.

Then why does £15 of the £20 sit in your Ovivo account for you to use if you go over your monthly allowance? £5 covers the cost of the sim, the £15 is your money in your account to use as you please. The sim was not £20 it was £5, this was all explained on the Ovivo website.

One of the reasons I choose Ovivo was that in there own FAQ they stated that if they were to go bust the mobile service ombudsmen protects your number, I hope that this is the case should we not get any joy from Ovivo. I have had my number for over 10 years so don't want to loose it.

Fingers crossed. Hopefully vodaphone will step in to help with this process

I just got my first pac code out of 3.

I requested all 3 today at about 10:30am.

Make that 2 now, both are the same pac numbers.

I have requested my PAC but entered the wrong email- co.uk instead of .com. I have re done the form- what are the chances of them still giving me my PAC?

Well how they reward you with bonuses is up to them. The bank can only go by what they invoiced you. The invoice says the £20 is the signup fee.

If they didn't sign you and send a sim over you may have a case.

It sucks that maybe you didn't get to utilise the service. I only had it for 15 days myself - but that's life. You take your chances and sometimes things dont work out.

technically they have kept to their part of the contract and should not be liable for the chargeback because they supplied what was invoiced.

But you can bend the facts and say the £20 was for the service and not signup (which the paperwork does not back up). You'll probably get the chargeback because the other party will be unlikely to defend 10,000 chargebacks from new customers who joined after recent press coverage.

    46.789% I would say.
