I've just put in a claim to Paypal.
Ordered SIM over the week-end, received and activated it this afternoon.
So I've just blown £20 for nothing.
Thank you, Mr Lewis. I joined this scheme only because you promoted it in your last round-robin email.
Martin had no idea this was going to happen, no 1 twisted your arm to get the sim or were you hypnotised by Martins email.
If you want a cheap sim only deal checkout the best sim only deal thread on hukd.0 -

They are probably looking into the company NOW for their consumer rights article.0 -

Important Notice Regarding Ovivo Closing Down
20 Mar 2014
View comments | Add a comment | Back to Blogs
We’ve heard the bad news that Ovivo has unexpectedly shut down as of last night (Wednesday 19th March 2014). Ovivo have cited it is due to reasons beyond their control and if you wish to keep your mobile number you can visit their site to request your PAC code.
While Ovivo was up and running we were offering cashback which we know a lot of you will have been expecting cashback for. As we understand that Ovivo customers will already be extremely frustrated with this situation, we wanted to soften the blow as much as we could for TopCashback members! Therefore, anybody who ordered a sim-card through TopCashback will see their cashback move to payable within the next 48 hours.
Please be aware that this will be paid from our own pocket as we have little idea on whether we will go on to receive payment for this cashback from Ovivo.
We hope this helps to soften the blow a little. If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to let us know.
Thanks for the link.
canterwest seemed to be under the impression that TopCashBack were refunding the entire purchase price.
I can see why TCB are are honorung the cashback. Wont cost them much in the grand scheme of things, however they will receive a lot of good publicity.0 -

I thought Topcashback was offering to pay cashback and we agree on their reasoning.
MSE could refund the commission it was hoping to make, or for good PR it could refund the £20.0 -

Just a good will at the end of the day TCB and like you say not everybody
To be honest i think they should hold Ovivo directors to account because they would of known that the company was going down weeks before
its not fair that you can just shut down and that's it leaving people in the larch.Nobody is Perfect. I am Nobody, therefore I am Perfect.0 -

Speak for yourself. I phoned my bank (First Direct) and they had refunded me within 2 minutes. No questions asked.0 -

Literally just had my PAC code come through, it is NOT the same as that.0 -

you probably paid via credit card and not debit and lied and told them the £20 was for the service charge and not a signup fee.
The other party can challenge that for 60 days after the chargeback and if they do the money will be taken off your balance until it is resolved.
It is a lot of paperwork for just £20 so I think you'll get it on the basis of non response from other party.0
