Shame, you'd think there would be some kind of negotiations before just shutting everything down. Hope there's some more details or even a solution for Ovivo to come back again. :money:

Very interesting...

Ovivo Mobile was terminated by MVNA Cognatel following an alleged dispute over network software that would have allowed the MVNO to uniquely identify each user.
It is believed that Cognatel was contractually obliged to deliver the software but had failed to do so. Uniquely identifying each user was essential to the operator’s service which provided free airtime, texts and data in exhange for agreeing to being targeted by marketing materials.

So it seems that Ovivo's whole business model was to harvest customers' personal data to sell to advertisers - not just a simple ad-funded model but handing over unique identifiable personal data. When they realized they weren't going to be able to do this they had the plug pulled.

The Ovivo CEO Dariush Zand apparently has previous form with this kind of thing.

Put your mobile number and the incorrect email address at http://ovivomobile.com/pac.php and it will display the PAC on screen.

We got all 3 pac codes in our 3 different email addresses.
They all were in the junk folders in the 3different respective email accounts.

I applied for PAC last night, didn't get anything through ..

So went to http://ovivomobile.com/pac.php

Entered my details and straight away showed me my PAC code!

So if you're waiting... suggest using http://ovivomobile.com/pac.php

Worked for me.

Already phoned T-Mobile up... and porting happens on Monday! :-)
