and it continues. 3 times I have asked for my final bill from Extraenergy. 3 times they promised to send it and yet I got another letter from them on Saturday telling me that they had tried to take another £200 direct debit and it was refused so they are charging me £17. I'm not even with them any more!!!!

The list goes on, onto my 33rd call to them and finally received my bill, however exit fees are on.

I just wish whoever joins these guys, has a lot of free time, oh yes and money.

I now record all my calls to them and from them . Had another call this morning reiterating that the direct debit failed. I explained again and the young man said that yes, my previous calls were on his computer. I I said once again that I need a final bill and once I had that bill, I would pay what I owed.
This will be vital if they ignore everything and try to take me to court or insist I'm defaulting. I have it recorded that I want to pay!

Well I've now had an email from EE regarding leaving them (so they have been notified of the impending switch), though I've heard nothing to date from Green Star, the company I'm switching to. Can't wait to do my final reading!

I, too, was considering staying with EE but what finally made my mind up was when I got the letter with the assumed usage for next year and it was 8,000kWh higher than this year's usage; I queried this by letter and have had no reply (no surprise).

    SLAPPPPPPP!!!!
Take solace from the fact that you won't be the only one.

The only fly in the ointment with GB Energy is they look like a carbon copy of Extra Energy but 18 months behind them on the learning curve and their rates are variable so can go up (or down yeah right!) at any time.

The real question is how does the land lie if you split gas and electric?

For my usage and location Zog Energy's Mercury 12 wins hands down on gas only but try as I might Extra Energy's Fresh Fixed Price Nov 2016 v2 [STRIKE]can't[/STRIKE] couldn't be beaten on price for electricity only when I made the decision and arranged to sign up. NB It looks like Fresh Fixed Price Nov 2016 v2 has now been replaced by a more expensive V3 since I did the dirty deed.

After much deliberation I decided to split the risk and hopefully half the headaches and stress and split gas and electric based on price and the excellent feedback/reviews Zog have and are still receiving and already now knowing how Extra Energy operate and how to get what I want in the end.

Bottom line is it's the same crap that comes out of your plugs, gas cooker and boiler just cheaper and what's a few more complaints to add to the pile at Extra Energy during the next 12 months! :D

Thanks for the light Slap but i'm still half thinking of staying with these jokes or maybe split the two between Isuppy & dailgas, but yes they are all as bad as each other so whats a few more complaints and email and phone calls to people that don't kno there A-S from there elbow looo0l
  • I need a slap too. Am thinking like you maxwell007. Better the devil you know and not having the stress of chasing them for my money if I stay put are both winning the battle in my mind at the moment. I think I shall wait and see what happens with my DD. If they want to increase it I shall definitely leave as I'm still waiting for them to reduce it!

On the DD side of things i'm ok, it started at £90 for two months, and I said nope to high, then £75 for two months I said nope to high, then £60 until now for duel fuel that make mi around £15 in debit by my maths, iv seen all side of EE so yes JUST maybe its better the devil u know, WHERES THAT SLAP . ..
