How many days before or after the actual transfer took place did you receive this?
    On the day

Looks like EDF haave already set my monthly DD to £0.00 too - they haven't told me

You might want to keep an eye on what they take out. It says standard payment amount £40 on mine but doing the maths they have taken the full £90 even though they no longer supply my electric.

My EDF DD amount is set to £0.00 and the DD box on payment method is un ticked ........ and I have cancelled the DD with my bank because the DD date was too close to my leaving date. I also know the read I need to input for gas to bring the final balance to around 22p credit ;)

Mine is ticked but grayed out so I can't untick it. The dd is due today but doesn't show yet on my NW account but my balance has gone up by £90 on the edf website. Does it say dd or standard payment amount next to the amount?

    UPDATE.
Well according to Npower the supply ends with them ends on the 6 May for both utilies and according to EE they supply me from the 7 May. So I intend to submit readings to both companies on the 6 May.

Can enter meter readings for EE online but can not do anything else. Considering this is an on-line account a bit disappointing.

Also I never did receive my welcome back. Oh well!

today is supposed to be my switch day, no email from EE asking for any reads though (no contact since welcome email). i've entered today's meter readings on both EE & EDF, i don't actually think that EDF will use them as they should just go on what EE advise them?

has anyone actually completed this transfer - final bill etc. & new DD set up? i can't remember...just wondering what the timescale is now from final reads?

there's a DD at the bank for EE now, no amount detailed but i'm guessing that only changes after a payment has been taken. pretty sure i specified the same payment date as EDF, 28th, so plenty of time to sort out.

my EDF DD has dropped down to £26, but presumably the next scheduled DD on 28th won't be taken & it will be just be a final bill with revised DD/refund due?

a real lack of info going on here!
  • According to your earlier post
I've just found that my gas contract ended yesterday & elec due to end 05.05.14 - no info from EE & obviously no readings supplied.
your EDF contract ends today and Extra Energy will start supplying you from tomorrow so in theory going by other posts you should expect to receive the Welcome Pack/Meter Reading Request from Extra Energy tomorrow.

As far as I can remember the timescale for providing final meter readings is 5 days either side of the live date.

I can't understand why Extra Energy appear to be leaving it until the live supply date to provide the Welcome Pack/Meter Reading Request when they have probably been in possession of the agreed transfer date for 10 days or more?

As you say there's definitely a lack of information going on. The Extra Energy rep hasn't been on this site since 11th April and there's been no visible progress on updating the functionality of their website that I can see.

With reference to the dd for EE still no record that dd set with my bank. I asked for the dd to be taken the 2 of each month and as I do not change to EE until the 7 May the first payment will taken on the 2 June.

Despite reading you have to pay EE in advance they advised me only one payment will be taken in June.

    Hope thats some help.

My switch was end of April. EE phoned me the day before for the readings and I got my welcome pack email on the day of the switch. I have now also had an email detailing the DD payment - first one is not due until June.

I,m in exactly the same position as you. My switch is also today but no contact or information from EE whatsoever.

I think i,m going to regret this switch. Very poor to say the least so far.

Should have stayed with EDF I think!
