I've just noticed that Extra Energy are now promoting a Fixed price September 2015 v3 tariff, which is markedly different to the tariff when I initiated the switch from EDF to Extra energy on 09/04/14.
Will they honour the tariff on the day the switch was requested or are the likely to apply the tariff on the day of the actual switch over?0 -
For me the V3 is £9 cheaper than the V2. Daily charges are less but overall very little in it. Ah well too late now.0

The e-mail you received when you first signed up shows the contract and prices you will pay.
Ok, yes thanks, that email shows what must have been the v1 tariff which in my case is about £72 pa cheaper than the current v3 tariff. Overall, electricity is up by 11.5% and gas is up by about 1%
So three versions of the September 2015 tariff in 3 weeks!
Not a good sign.0 -
Perhaps it would be helpful is people posting on here about the different September 2015 tariffs posted their actual standing charge and unit charge.
I don't know what version mine was but the daily standing charge is .2247 ppd and .0972ppu.
I have since negotiated a change to the Payment on Bill September 2015 tariff which has a higher daily standing charge (.3616ppd) but it does give me control of how much I pay each quarter rather than have a monthly DD which would result in my having an amount of credit building up in my account.
p.s. I forgot to add I'm in the East Midlands area0 -
"Fixed Price September 2015" (no version number) - signed up on 31st March. Monthly direct debit, South West region.
Standing charge: 23.59p/day
Unit rate: 12.19p/kWh
Exit fee: £25
All inc. VAT
What are the "v3" prices?!0 -
My email from Energyhelpline (who I switched through) says Fixed Price September 2015 v2 (but my email from ExtraEnergy themselves does not mention which version). Signed up on 15th April, monthly direct debit, East Midlands region
Standing charge: 23.59p per day
Unit charge: 10.206p per kWh
Exit fee: £25.00
All inclusive of VAT at 5%
So the unit price is slightly cheaper than JPD23's South West region tariff
I have checked my EDF account today and both gas and electric say EDF have been contacted regarding my change of supplier (I am going to Zog for gas, who have emailed me that they will take over my supply on 24th May) so that should mean my EDF Blue Price Promise April 2014 prices are held until the change takes place.A chicken crossing the road is poultry in motion0 -

It does seem that there has been an increase since I signed up on 18th March when compared with the above.
Standing charge: 22.47p per day
Unit charge: 09.72p per kWh
East Midlands region0 -
Logging in to my edf account tells me that the elec was transferred yesterday and the gas will be on the 8th. Extraenergy rep if you read this , I think this is fairly fundamental information that you need to let new customers know. I have had nothing from ee since the very 1st email , like others I haven't got a clue as to what the dd will be set at.0

My electric is supposed to have been switched today, at least that is what my new supplier tells me. Can't see anything in my EDF online account to corroborate that though.
Don't worry about the DD from the new supplier. If they've not told you yet, they will have to soon because they have to provide advance notice (which includes details such as date and amount) before they can collect, else they risk a valid indemnity claim under the terms of the DD guarantee.0
