I've had the 'go bust' scenario in my head, but seeing as so many people are switching to them (a third of switchers) they surely can't have money problems? I may be wrong, of course, in which case do correct me!0

Oh dear - this sham company need closing!!
If you are reading this thread for advise and can't be bothered to read the whole thread - I'll summarise:
DO NOT JOIN EE
They are a complete sham
You will not receive a bill
You will be lied to
They will not return your money if you end up in credit!
They may be cheap but you will end up stressed and it's not worth it!
In summary - Do not join EE!0 -

Good decision, I think!0 -

Its a young company, young companies can go bust very easily. Young companies with major system/billing issues are higher up the list for going bust.
EE have money for now, but once people leave in their droves due to no bills their income will take a hit.
If the regulator also takes action as they could also be fined.
Only once EE post their finical info later this year will we be able to make our minds up.
Do I trust my money with EE, that is a big NO NO when looking into how they are handling their issues.
EE employees are working from a script and biding for time. This will become ever more evident over the next couple of weeks.
PS, if I knew EE had NPower staff working there I would never have joined them even if it saved me £££.
NPower left me with no power over xmas several years ago as they sent me a dud prepayment card several times thus I could not top up the meter.... Did Npower care = NO
I had to call a friend out who worked for National Grid to over-ride the meter otherwise I would have been screwed. Npower is simply blacklisted by myself, EE is heading the same way.0 -

Dont be scared, just put in a low usage figure and dont give them meter readings. £10 a month DD for both gas/elec sounds like a good start.
If EE go bust or dont bill you you would save £££0 -
But they can set the cd at whatever they like. With me they charge me 72 even though it initially said it would be 64. 7 months later I'm no closer to getting my DD at the original quote. Can't see how anyone would be able to ensure their SD is low - especially if it's too low.0

If you have a record for agreeing to pay £64 by DD and they are taking £72 then this is an unauthorised DD transaction. Go to your bank and explain that the amount taken is incorrect and you would like a refund under the DD guarantee.
It should result in an immediate refund to your bank account.
Raise a complaint with EE via email and ensure to keep a copy for your records.
Each time EE take incorrect amounts, carry out the same procedure.
Once EE have had so many weeks to resolve the matter and they fail, well you have nothing left but to report your complaint to the ombudsman who will then take your case on.0 -
Trouble is I didn't agree 64. That's just the figure that the comparison site and their website quoted me. When it came to setting up the DD they wanted 72. I thought nothing of it, thinking I could reduce it in the future ...0

You should get a 6 month bill, if not raise a complaint. Work out your usage as you may well be in debit and not credit.
Refer to previous posts as there is some good information but it sounds like you are in the same circle as everyone else.
NO BILLS.......
If you leave EE in credit, well for now going off opinions its unlikely you will get that money back with ease.
MABLE will be posting an update sometime next week in regards to refunds that dont seem to happen.0 -

Exactly my experience. Tried to reduce my DD via EE's online 'facility' by £2, as a test....told I could not. Then tried 1p. Same message.Got a ticket from ParkingEye? Seek advice by clicking here: Private Parking forum on MoneySavingExpert.:j0
