Ive not yet received the £12 rebate which i was promised will be back on my account, luckily after reading updates on this thread i looked to see if rebate had been reversed and i noticed that they have applied for a dd payment to be taken tommorow!!!the last dd was taken by them on 1/12/2014 and i left them in december too and are almost £400 in credit yet they have tried to take more money off me even though im not a customer with them and have a complaint lodged against them with the ombudsman.I have just cancelled dd with my bank and rang bank to stop payment leaving my account on 1 april.I really cant beleive how incompetent and bad this outfit are!!!Surely watchdog should do a article about these cowboys
On the fone with extra cowboys to find out why they havent credited my £12 back to my account and why they tried to take a dd from me even though i not been a customer sinse dec 14,and cs is telling me im still a gas customer with them!!!omg sinse leaving ee i been with eon(who are waiting for a start reading from extra cowboys)and have switched to sainsburys energy who started to supply me on 19th march. You couldnt make these things up extra energy need investigating!!!!

And that's my direct debit with them cancelled. Not risking them taking money out of my account after leaving them too

Just spoken to a very nice young lady at EE (after hanging on for 12 mins). I explained that I was switching back to EDF and that I was concerned that EE still takes DD and does not refund accrued credit. I also told her in order to protect myself I was going to cancel my DD and pay any balance via the "make a payment" facility on their website. She offered to calculate my bill and send it via email. She did this within 5 minutes (bless her) and it turns out that I have around a £6 credit. Therefore it is best to leave them now, and if you can switch through the money saving club and get £30 discount for doing so, which helps towards the exit fees, you will be better off in the long run.
How can she calculate my estimated bill when the billing department can't.

Yes thanks for that, it has come out almost the same as her estimate, just a little bit higher for the gas.

I contacted them this morning to ask how they had calculated my new DD even though I am leaving very soon. The guy had absolutely no clue what he was talking about and went on to explain the bill to me - I had to stop him and say that wasn't what I had asked. He ended up putting me through to a senior advisor who said it was based on my last years consumption plus the debit I now have divided by 12, however I already knew this and pointed out that the new DD was £30 more than this so how do they justify this? She said she would need to email another department to find out and they would contact me after the bank holidays. I am expecting my next DD to be taken before they resolve this. I told her I have not agreed to the new amount and because of the bank holidays they should not be taking this new amount yet as they have not given my 10 working days notice. Waiting now to see what they take.
