Joined these jokers last June, left in January 2015, stopped DD last December, never had a bill, not even a final bill, online account showing £xxx in credit from all of my DD payments, but I reckon I must owe them a few hundred quid from what I used whilst I was with them. I've never known a company like them , absolute waste of space.

Ive not yet received the £12 rebate which i was promised will be back on my account, luckily after reading updates on this thread i looked to see if rebate had been reversed and i noticed that they have applied for a dd payment to be taken tommorow!!!the last dd was taken by them on 1/12/2014 and i left them in december too and are almost £400 in credit yet they have tried to take more money off me even though im not a customer with them and have a complaint lodged against them with the ombudsman.I have just cancelled dd with my bank and rang bank to stop payment leaving my account on 1 april.I really cant beleive how incompetent and bad this outfit are!!!Surely watchdog should do a article about these cowboys
Just received this email from them-
    Dear Mr xxxxxxx,
Your Direct Debit has been cancelled

We’ve received notification from your bank that you’ve cancelled your Direct Debit instruction. This means we won’t be able to collect your agreed payments.
Please provide your new Direct Debit details as soon as possible, by calling us on 0800 953 4777 or 0330 303 4777, so that we can set up a new Direct Debit instruction for you.
If you’ve missed a payment we’ll also need to take this from you, so please have your debit card available just in case.
We don't want you to pay more

It’s important that you contact us as soon as possible. If we don’t hear from you within 10 working days of the date of this correspondence, we’ll automatically switch you to non- Direct Debit prices. This means you’ll pay more for your energy.
In addition, if the payments you’ve made so far don’t cover your usage, you’ll need to pay the outstanding amount.
    Keeping you informed

Below are the prices you’re paying as a Direct Debit customer and those you’ll pay if you’re moved to a non-Direct Debit payment method
If we have to contact you again, there will be a £12 charge added to your account to cover the cost of us doing so. We won’t charge this if you contact us now.
We really want you to continue enjoying the benefits of paying by Direct Debit and hope to hear from you soon.

    Yours sincerely,

    Allan Machesney

I work for Extra Energy in the Billing department. I'm bored and thought I'd review the company, I can see it hasn't got a good one and it's mainly to do with the billing...

I can try and give some honest answers if anyone has some questions?

    Emphasis on the try.

Well Hello "Dan" I am really quite surprised that you are unaware of the lack of bills being sent to your customers, even after they have left (according to this thread which is extremely long). Especially as you say you work in the billing department. As April 1st has now passed I assume you are genuine?

And a little naive if he is. I doubt he's read the comments here judging by his rather glib post! He has just entered a bear pit. :money:
All he needs to do to stop being bored is work through this thread. If he resolves everyone's problems he could be CEO in no time.:D

    Review it?
Or check up on it as you are equally worried about your job as customers are in regards to their money!

Or you could just be an April fools troll!

If you work for EE, maybe you could be more fulfilling in what you share with us in regards to what on earth is going on at EE with the billing system.

I heard about ovo for the first time yesterday and became keen to join as I could top up my electricity meter using an app instead of finding a shop. I later discovered that I cannot use this service as I have electric storage heaters! I could not believe this, since when do we get judged on our heating systems before a company will allow us to become a customer? If anyone knows of a way around this, please help.

Why are you crashing a forum in regards to Extra energy. If you want to start a new post to discuss Ovo then please feel free to do that.

You can all do the same as me and be proactive. As they say when the going gets tough you need to toughen up.

You are brave MABLE, you could well be swallowing your own words soon.

    Roll on the 7th :T

The only thing to add to this is EE staff did not seem to know it was a bank holiday as I was promised a call today which I pointed out was indeed a bank holiday. Basics knowing your calendar isnt it?

The best way to find out about OVO is to type their name into this websites Forum or look on Trust Pilot. It has already been said this company is new and is struggling like Extra Energy to cope with demand.
