Oh dear - this sham company need closing!!
If you are reading this thread for advise and can't be bothered to read the whole thread - I'll summarise:

    DO NOT JOIN EE
    They are a complete sham
You will not receive a bill
    You will be lied to
They will not return your money if you end up in credit!
They may be cheap but you will end up stressed and it's not worth it!

In summary - Do not join EE!

Alternatively, for the less easily stressed:-

    JOIN EE
    They are cheap
    They supply gas and electricity
  • Finished with them in December.
They admitted I was in credit.
They could not confirm how much and "billing" would take care of it.
    Four Months on, nothing.

    Don't use them!

They are cheap, I totally agree. They are still the cheapest for me!

The only problem is, if you are in credit and leave, customers are not getting their money back. This then means customers have to email/telephone and use their time and resources.

Time costs money, work out the sums.........
EE doesnt work out so cheap after all :(

What I have used so far:
*3 hours worth of phone calls, waiting time etc.
*several emails via the site contact form - not had one reply.
*x1 email via my own email account, awaiting reply.

Biggles, why dont you increase your DD using the only working function on the EE website to say 50% more than you use.
(Please keep us informed on retrieving this money back) :rotfl:

Re-join them if you are struggling to get your money back. Put in an amount which is very menial say 5 units of gas and 5 units of electric a month. Build up a large debit and then leave them again and patiently await your bill.

EE's loss if they never produce you a bill.

Im the same, reading this thread like there is no tomorrow. But hey they do have my £££'s which im not yet billed for due to their incompetence.

It is interesting to see no EE reps pass by and say holla, or at minimum try and reassure their loyal customers that everything is going to be ok and back this up with factual information.
Simply hiding isnt going to do them any favors, it will simply make the determined, more determined.

Im just waiting for Wednesday as im certain EE wont contact me Tuesday with an answer to my complaint.

Shame we cant place a poll on this thread >>

Will EE contact me Tuesday YES or NO

I can give credit when due, EE have called me today. :D
I wish they did not bother though.....

usual rubbish stalling trick, it has been passed on for processing blah blah blah havent we all heard that before.
Can I just make clear that the bill should have been processed already and this was promised verbally by EE staff.

I also dislike being told that they only have to legally produce 1 bill per annum. Get a grip EE, you told me 6 months so I fully well expect one, stop changing your goal posts as its very unprofessional.

The £12 debit was an error, EE cannot provide information for when this will be corrected on their systems
    (What SYSTEMS we may ask)

My DD amount has not been altered as agreed between parties. The person I spoke to today then agreed to lower it to an amount which was still incorrect as to what was agreed. I explained that they would need to speak to the previous operator as im not doing their work for them and going through all the rumble jungle again.

As clearly stated, if EE unlawfully take the incorrect amount from my bank account the DD will be reclaimed till such a time EE sort their act out.

I now have to wait till Thursday 2nd for my bill which has been promised.

MABLE - whats the chances of getting a correct bill :T

This seems to be the biggest problem on this thread. But I don't understand why anyone would offer to make a higher DD payment than their annual fuel is likely to cost (they do use your own estimate, so I estimated pretty low). Or have some had their DD increased by EE after being in debit after the winter season?

My usage was high as I had an old back boiler, no carpets and no internal doors/carpets down. Also had a full DPM, plaster knock back etc. Been a messy few years

My usage has plummeted more than I ever expected which has resulted in savings even though I have not once turned my boiler down
(shorts and T-Shirts in the house for a change, wasteful I know).
I have also upgraded to LED lighting throughout the house.
2014/2015 has also been a warmer year...

Im not aware of anyone actually getting a bill, or at least a correct one. I stand to be corrected.

    Here's a scenario for you:

March - reduce prices, attract loads of new customers.
April to September - gas usage is low, grab as much DD money as possible.
September - most customers are in credit.
October - go bust owing lots of money to loads of customers.

    Unlikely maybe, but see:

    "You’ll probably lose cash"

It's now approaching 100 days since I left EE and I'm still waiting for my £200+ overpayments to be paid back.
