just checked my account - the bill they produced in December was cancelled - so in 11 months I've had no billing to my account.Trying to find who to swap to but they all seem to have terrible customer service records. Is anyone happy with their energy supplier?

there are some hidden tariffs - if you see anything of interest I have another link for £10 per fuel cashback.0 -

I handle 2 accounts with E.On, my dad's as well as mine. He won't change, been with them for years. I switched in December via MSE Bulk Switch, cheaper than EE then.
What's good about E.On:
Great full-facility website.
looks like you can change DD amount online, up or down, within limits - had no need to do it yet as set amount was accurate.
Bill produced in 2 hours after a meter reading on request.
Auto notification of new tariffs with indication of whether cheaper or not.
Easy no-fee switch to new tariff. (I've already done it once, and several times on my dad's).
Good customer care - a minor switching problem sorted out over the phone in no time.0 -
I was with EDF for 2 years - I had no problems.
As with Eon you can change DD up or down, give meter readings on line and receive a bill 48 hours later. Good customer service on the phone, they in fact alerted me to the fact that EE had given them a higher meter reading when I was switching, they knew this by my history. They Email you if you could save money elsewhere (that's why I switched damn it). No Exit fees.
When I switched from them the lady I spoke to was genuinely concerned about the wrong meter reading. She gave me her direct line and you can be assured that they do not give out false names like EE do.
Not as cheap as EE but no hassle at all, everything worked well for me.Holding back the years...0 -

Well thanks for the tips - have jumped back to EDF - I've been with them before and had no problems - also tariff has no exit fees so can jump if anything new comes on the market.
Rang EE to ask why my December bill was cancelled - didn't know. Said I'd been billed again in December but that it hadn't been 'released' to me whatever the hell that means. Asked when I'd get it as it has been 3 months - said he doesn't know - what a joke of a company!0 -
I know I have their real names but I did ring last week and spoke to Shirley. She was very positive and promised to phone me back within an hour. Never happened and when I phoned they had never heard of her.
And one other thing before I depart from this thread for good the two people who helped me were far better than dealing with the complaints dept.
Good luck to everyone!
Hope you get your money back soon. What is the link for the twitter EE that has been helpful to you please? May be it can help me too to get my final bill and refund? Thanks and good luck0 -
I've had a phone call from EE!! The first time they've contacted me other than acknowledgement to emails.
They referred to my 'Complaint', a word I never used in my numerous emails to them so I guess it's in response to the Ombudsman.
They have promised a Final Bill in 10 working days, followed by the refund. That's really too long, nearly 3 weeks with Easter coming up, but it's a positive step.
I got the Germany story others have had but they said that's about to change. Maybe they are getting their act together at last - just in time for the 12-month bills.0 -
Has anyone had any luck finding out about the £12 rebate deduction?0

I asked them about it on the phone - they said it was a mistake and would be rectified soon0

My contract with Extra Energy expires in September, it was live by Sept 10th last year. Assuming, to be safe, it expires 30th Sept, and taking in to account it takes about 4 weeks to switch, would it be safe to start switching from EE on 10th Sept this year. When they have taken the Sept DD on the 25th, would it be wise to then cancel the DD. Assuming I have a bill by then I can see if they owe me money. I also want to avoid going onto the higher tariff after the contract ends and if I wait till Sept 30th to start the switch I would be paying more for Oct & Nov thereby negating any savings I have made this past year.Holding back the years...0
