I agree with gayle1. I have had my suspicions myself actually but choosing not to listen to them and think the best.

My head is telling me to think positive, my gut tells me different.

She was always on here when she had no money at all, now she has, she's not to be seen. I've also looked at her profile and she was last on on the 9th May and posted elsewhere on the 7th May, yet she hasn't got the manners to come back here and let us all know how she is getting on.
Should have stuck with my gut instinct from the start. Will make me more wary in the future :(

It's quite easy to be away from the forum for a while, I'm sure the OP is just busy getting her life back on track! I certainly don't think it's rude not to post everyday on a thread just to check in - there are plenty of other things a busy mum has to do. I hope you're well Natalie :)

I know someone sent an easter egg.

I don't think it's unusual to not be checking in on here often, she could be busy getting her life back together rather than checking in on here every 5 minutes. I am sure she will be back soon once she gets herself sorted or have a few spare minutes.

The OP only replied that she received something when the sender posted to ask if she had received it despite having been online the day before when she would have got it. A thank you costs nothing and she always had internet access throughout.

Similar sad story as has been posted before and people have fallen for it again I'm afraid.

Best stick with giving advice and not goods/money.
Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama ;)

I assumed it was a card that had been sent. Don't know why I thought that though lol.

Manners cost nothing, she was on daily when she was looking help/attention/sympathy - whatever it was. And she was still looking after her "son" then. She has been online since, and also posted in the freebie thread.
I'm willing to bet she reads here whenever she is on.

She didn't seem to have enough money for electric/food, but didn't think twice about keeping her internet connection.
I'm raging I didn't stick to my gut feeling at first now. Have been taken in by her. And certainly won't be doing it again on here.

Just a thought - even if we have been taken in - I applaud those of you who did send things.

It is not being gullible but the kindness that you feel for another in distress.

Don't leave this sour your attitude as kindness is something that should be cultivated - even if at times it is abused.
