  • Hi

I opened the account on Saturday and the debit card arrived today. However to fully use the internet banking I need some sort of code, can anyone tell me how long it takes to arrive?

    Thanks

    Alex

My payments taken out yesterday via their card don't seem to be showing up today. This bank account is stuck in a time warp. Then again you can't complain too much at 5%

Do you mean in the pending transactions section?

I have found with RBS that contactless payments don't affect my available balance as quickly as chip and pin point of sale transactions.

How long will it take for contactless payments to appear on my account?
Payments made using contactless may not be deducted from your available account balance immediately, so it’s important that you keep track of your contactless usage.

I don't know if these questions have been answered but I have looked back over the last few pages but not the whole thread.

I opened a plus account a few days ago, is there a recommended period I should wait before trying to open a second one?

When I opened my classic enhance accounts, there was an option to not receive debit cards. Did I miss this option for the plus accounts or is it not available?

    Thanks :)

Been following this thread for a while now. I opened a plus account on Sunday 31st got email Monday saying I was accepted. I waited for my online banking code to be sent so I was fully activated before applying for my second account. I applied for my second account on 7th Monday the same way I did before (was getting i wasn't allow to apply for another when log in at tsb) I had to make a new id I didn't know about the link under the apply tab :( but I doesn't bother me. I STILL haven't heard anything sense the email saying they are processing the application don't understand why it's took 4 days so far while it only took 1 day before :(.

Contactless transactions generally don't run live (contact the bank) so your bank will know about it until the merchant sends the transaction off at the end of the next business day.

just opened 2 a/c's online today for me & OH, presumably the a/c nos. are sequentially given out, so that's 1900 new a/c's opened in the space of 4 hours!

Account A with 2000. Standing order for 500 to account B.
Account B with 2000. Standing order for 500 to account A.

The SO to each other happen almost instantly. No transfer from outside sources.

Account C is used to skim off the interest each month.

Will that not take the account to below £2000, if even for a short time, therefore not complying with T&C's of £2000. It would be great if I could just do a SO from one to the other, I was going to have an extra £500 going from one to the other but was thinking I could be getting interest on that some where else. First time I have tried anything like this and still a bit (very) confused!
    Thank you:)

What makes you think you have to have £2000 in there at all times?
