You don't need to necessarily say contactless, just say you'll pay by card as you would usually.
Once they activate the card machine it'll either accept the usual chip and pin or contactless; whichever is presented to it.0 -

Maths check...?
Max £2000 in TSB Plus @5%
= £6.7 pm after basic tax?0 -
I get £6.66, but that's only if all months were the same length. Interest will be calculated daily so the amount paid will vary depending whether the month has 30 or 31 days, or 28/29 in February.0

Thanks.
Hmmm... now that it's all set up, was it really worth all the excitement...?
Well it is about the best rate you can get at the moment, we have max 2 accounts each, so approx £16.66 for my non tax paying wife and £13.33 for me...so about £30 a month or £360 a year..
Haven't considered any joint accounts yet, but perhaps we should if our Classic Enhance accounts are dropping their rates soon.0 -
Actually it's 6.6666666667 so it rounds up to 6.70

Like Lloyds and BoS, they don't use 'calendar' months for interest purposes...they use 'monthly billing period' months, which run from the 2nd working day of a month to the 1st working day of the next month.0 -
One day, YorkshireBoy, one day, you won't have to post this again and again because one day people will read T&Cs. Or even forum posts that may not be on the front page.
Or may be I am just a hopeless optimist.0
