Hmmm... now that it's all set up, was it really worth all the excitement...?

I wasn't excited in the slightest, but I opened 2 accounts with no problems, so it was a no brainer for me.

SO from P1 to P2 and another SO from P2 to P1, forget about it for a year, and then login to move the £160 interest.

At the risk of being ridiculed: I skim off my interest monthly into an interest paying account, thus squeezing a bit of compounded interest out as I go. It goes nicely with the skimmed of amounts from the Club Lloyds, the 123s and all the Vantages and Enhances whilst they are still going. OCD or wot.

yes, but 5% on £2000 is better than 5% on £200...( if you draw£1800out).
hence why we are thinking it's best to keep £2000 maximum in there.............:)
Some people might not have the maximum amount.

I've got two Plus and two Enhance accounts - both Plusses and one Enhance are fully-funded, but I don't have enough to use the second Enhance as a savings account. So I use it as a normal current account instead, because it's still better to get some interest on your day-to-day cash before it leaves for bills etc. than nothing.

I've just been sent a letter saying here is your new activation code. Except I didn't ask for one, and there was no code printed on the letter anyway. However they have added 'if you are not expecting this letter to phone 0845 835 3844'

    dopes.

I just phoned them, lots of people are phoning up and they are investigating. They said not to worry as long as your internet banking is still working.

One day, YorkshireBoy, one day, you won't have to post this again and again because one day people will read T&Cs. Or even forum posts that may not be on the front page.

Or may be I am just a hopeless optimist.

We're more likely to see banks paying fair savings rates so we don't need numerous current accounts to get a decent return on our nest egg's lol!
  • I'm sorry if this question has been asked before, but I don't have time to crawl through 30 odd pages to find the answer.

After using the activation code, how do you turn on the paperless correspondence? I know it says on the T&C's "if available" for this feature but I was wondering if anyone had managed to do it. I've already turned on the paperless statements.

    Thanks in advance.
