    Hi all,

I've just opened my 1st TSB Plus account online and all has gone fine...just need the activation code to arrive in the post.

I want to open a 2nd account but it looks like it's going through the whole process again of filling in the form, so my questions are: -

    1) Will I have to enter a different user-id and password for the second account or can I use the same as for the first account?

    2) If I have to enter different id and password then how will it link them together?

    3) Or should I wait for my activation code and add another account online once I've logged in?

    Hope that's clear. Thank you,

    Lisa
It's taken me a lifetime to start looking after my money and now I'm addicted to doing it! :cool2:
  • Clear as mud. Went into branch this a.m. to open the much publicised Plus account and was told 'never heard of it'. Unless this account was only available to existing TSB account holders it seems it was pulled before it was launched. What was offered was Classic Plus which is similar but not the same as Plus.
Named after my cat, picture coming shortly

Care to elaborate on the differences between 'Plus' which I haven't heard of from any official source, and 'Classic Plus' which appears on TSB website, and of which I managed to open 2 online on Sunday?

Applied on line on Sunday 30th.
This is my first account with TSB.
Had an email giving me an application reference number.
48 hrs later I've called TSB to see what is taking so long and was told it could take up to 7 days to process the application.

When applying (as a new customer) on line for a First Direct account and a Virgin Fixed Rate ISA I had the account details staright away.

    Anyone experienced this?

It seems to be different for everyone! My two accounts opened instantly and have me account numbers (although can't log in) and my wife got the same as you.

    Hi Lisa,

Yes you have to go through the same online process / application when applying for your 2nd account. I did this for my girlfriend and myself.

I just filled out the identical details as I used for the first application. It didn't allow you to select an user ID during the 2nd application as it seems to link the accounts automatically under one user ID / log on.

Additional functions are only available once you've had your activation code sent to you and you have fully activated online services.
  • On the subject of running two accounts, do you have to deposit £500 in each from another bank or can you deposit £500 into the 1st account, then transfer it straight across to the second?
