Can I set up one or two joint accounts? (or none?) and if so how do I apply?0 -
44p interest, woo! Guess I'll need to claim that 11p back from the taxman next month.0

Just checked and I have received the 44p on both accounts and also they have linked together my accounts so they come up under the same log in, as this morning I had 3 different log ins with 1 acc on each. (1 old acc, and these two). I cant believe how straight forward this has been, maybe I am too sceptical! Out of interest, can anyone tell me how much a full month of gross interest will be? (I will need to register for no tax asap.) Sorry but my maths is terribe! Thanks0

£2,000 x 4.89% / 365 x n
where n = number of days in the monthly billing period (anywhere from 28 to 33 or so)0 -
Wow - 44p on each account for me too! Now to skim it off...Not Rachmaninov
But Nyman

Wife just got an email saying application declined!?0

Applied for one of these as did my girlfriend, both of us are employed with decent salaries and have a good amount of savings, but like the post above, both received an e-mail this morning saying application declined!
No idea why except that perhaps take up has been so good they've pulled it for most although it still features on the front page of their website today.
The only thing I can think we perhaps did "wrong" was to select the purpose of the account as "Savings", maybe if we'd transferred our current accounts to them it may have been different?
Anyway, it will be interesting to see if many get declined or accepted, please let us know by posting on here.0 -
Just applied for 2 accounts, both open under the same login and £2000 moved from my crappy Halifax savings account to each. Couldn't have been easier, suspiciously easy in fact
Edit ... I stuck purpose down as 'spending' ....0
