What I learn sofar is that approval is also depend on the person who are making decision. In Appeal another person will make make decision so the outcome might be different.
No - this is completely wrong (which has been pointed out to you before).
In 95% of cases (i.e. where you get an instant acceptance or decline), the decision is made automatically, by a computer that 'scores' your application.
In the small number of cases where it is referred (and you are told to wait 7 days for a decision), there is then a subjective review by a human.
But in the vast majority of cases it's wholly automatic - the person you speak to purely enters your details into the computer, nothing more.0 -

£8.15 per full account per month on average. Not quite as much as a full FlexDirect or Vantage/Enhance but obviously less dosh is required for TSB.YorkshireBoy wrote: »It'll be different each month, due to the number of days in the monthly billing period. But your calculation (assuming a static £2K balance) is as follows...
£2,000 x 4.89% / 365 x n
where n = number of days in the monthly billing period (anywhere from 28 to 33 or so)
Haven't got my TSB activation code yet so that 44p is stuck where it is for now!0 -
A whole 88p between the two accounts!
Mind you, combined with my two enhance accounts (which were both full until Monday), I've got a not insignificant £10.14.0 -
I assume reading through this post no one yet has got the debit card etc
I opened mine on sunday no problems and i transfered money to the account that afternoon. I then decided to switch to get rid of one of my accounts and that worked with a you were successful at the end of the process.
I did choose for them to update me on the switching process but as of wednesday i haven't got any update although the account is happily earning me interest
Has anyone else switched ? i know its a 7 day process but i find it puzzling i've heard nothing from them. 0 -

Anyway, it will be interesting to see if many get declined or accepted, please let us know by posting on here.
Whilst applying on line I had a small hitch, phoned and they offered to do it over the phone - the minute I said 'savings' the guy told me I couldn't have it, so I said I would be paying in the required monthly amount and would be paying bills from the a/c........job done, he opened the a/c for me. Got a second one on-line later by NOT picking 'savings'.
Have another go on-line and DON'T use 'savings'.0 -

I just opened my second one now (first opened yesterday).
Both times I selected savings as the reason for opening it. I really dont think it makes any difference and is just a statistic for them to collect.0 -
Well the TSB website might not be an official source but it stated that the Plus account was to have first £2,500 qualifying for 5% interest and £1000/month input. This was the one I saw publicised in the papers, definitely not an official source.Care to elaborate on the differences between 'Plus' which I haven't heard of from any official source, and 'Classic Plus' which appears on TSB website, and of which I managed to open 2 online on Sunday?
The Classic Plus has max. of £2000 for 5% and minimum of £500/month input.:TNamed after my cat, picture coming shortly0 -
Could anyone hazard a guess as to why I was asked to bring proof of ID/address into branch when it would seem most others on this forum managed to open the account online?
I am currently out of the country for a few months so this is a real pain.
Could being out of the country in itself be the problem? (Different IP address? Clutching at straws!)0
