Just opened one up using the link supplied, completely painless application :)

Nice additional dumping ground for my relatively meager savings when my FlexDirect drops off next month.

Was anyone else told to 'refer to branch' to show proof of identity and address?

Scrolling through the thread, this doesn't seem to have been an issue for other people so wondering what triggered this.

I applied for the second using the same original link, wasn't asked for online banking registration/login details on the second application, and both are showing in my online account immediately after the second application completed.
2nd account now up and running. Like you, it linked me via the previous application so no need for additional username etc. :)

Looks like I'll be applying to open a TSB account come the end of the month

(I'll want to read and digest the official TSB terms & conditions first though)

    T&Cs ... read and digested.

    New application ... made
(with grateful thanks to bsms1147 for providing link)

I use the link twice to open 2 accounts. On my first application I tried to use the user id I have for my enhance accounts but message came up that the user id was already being used and gave me the option of another which added a 1 or 2. The second time maybe because of cookies they did not ask me for a user id email etc. The problem I have now is that I have 2 TSB plus accounts but they are not linked to the enhance accounts and I have to use a different id. Hope the system picks this up and links them in the future.

I know using the link provided earlier existing tsb customers can apply for the new account like any new customer but currently from within online banking existing customers only have the option of opening a second standard current (classic) account using a very simple and short process- I presume later today the plus account will be available to existing customers in the same way?

    Hi

How did you bypass the problem?

It still asks for a new User ID and password for my 2nd application :(

I simply put EXACTLY the same information in for the 2nd account, other than one small change...the second account was for regular salary credits (whereas the first was bills & expenses).
