I know it is immaterial to this that but never ever close a case once opened. No further case can be opened and the complainant would have no further recourse through eBay or PayPal.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. What's the "Global shipping thing" - is that a shipping carrier like Royal Mail, FedEx, UPS, etc.?
A lot of people will only ship to the registered PayPal/eBay address. My understanding is that the seller is only covered for shipping to the PayPal address. It's therefore understandable why they might have shipped to that address.
If the seller shipped to your registered address, but you no longer live there, then it would be unfair for the seller to refund you when they have not yet received back the item. Clearly the item has been sent back but is still 'in transit with destination carrier.'What will your verse be?

What's a Board Guide?
Post below yours - Soolin.
She also moonlights working for Ebay - so may be able to explain in Ebay speak why your the first buyer in history to lose a case - they normally screw the seller.
P.s she doesn't really work for Ebay - she's just their biggest fan

I think the reason is, they are desperate to make the global shipping policy work.
You need to learn about that.
I bought an item for $99.
Shipping was $6.50
They then took an exorbitant $32.50 to pay our customs.
That also means nothing cheap from china any more if they are in the global shipping which ebay would like to force all sellers into.
What I have had is an email from the last ebay member I spoke to.
It was very brief.
Subject: White glove request saphieb23 SR# 1-22887963073
Approved Regards, Stuart
That is just from the sale of the item, I don't know about the other $40 yet.
I have not had any refund yet.
Anyone know what a White glove request is?

Please read what I have put. Your reply comes nowhere close.0 -
Please correct me if I'm wrong on any part of this....
- your eBay/PayPal address was out of date
- you messaged the seller asking them to ship to another address
- the seller (or global shipping) shipped to your old address
- the item was delivered, but sent back and hasn't arrived back with the seller yet
If all of the above is correct, it's difficult to see how you'd be entitled to a refund until such time as the item is back with the seller. Neither they not eBay appear to have done anything wrong, so it would be unfair to refund you for an item lost in transit when the mistake was yours. What will your verse be?

The seller hasn't received it back. What will your verse be?

I've had a dispute with PayPal and Ebay before and it wasn't easy to resolve.
I'd suggest the following:
Have you kept in contact with the seller? Have they received the item back as yet? If not wait until they do and ask for them to ship it to your correct address.
You also need to ensure that your contact details are kept up to date. Generally speaking they will only ship to the registered billing address as this helps to reduce fraud - a safety net I'm happy to adhere to.0 -

Unless I'm getting it wrong myself, but the last part of the tracking info says:
"In Transit with Destination Carrier"
I would think it would say "delivered" if it had arrived back. What will your verse be?
