:confused:Where'd go?....I looked n looked!......I did a post yesterday--hand on heart! Oh well, better have another go then..........

It was a glorious day Sat, & I'm sooooooooooo pleased I went to the wedding. It was a beautiful setting, right out in the middle of nowhere, where you could hear the birds singing & watch the clouds drift across the blue sky. Bride looked radiant in an under-stated way, if that's the right phrase, very definately class not crass.

Anyhoo, how is everyone? Did I spot some newbies--if so HiYa:wave: !

To those who have lost someone close to them, I would like to tell you how I cope if I may.....In the space of a couple of weeks, I have attended a funeral & a wedding, from the 'in-laws' side of the family. [I have kept in touch with most of them, because it wasn't their fault my marriage broke down!] I wore a pair of earrings that my father-in-law chose for my birthday one year, as a visible symbol of them being with us at a big family occasion. He passed 26 years ago, mum-in-law 6 years & my dad 14 years ago,:o but I feel they are still with me.
The best thing I have of them are my memories of the good times we shared, & I reckon that something reminds me of one or other every day. And I smile when I think of them, because they are--& always will be--very special to me......simple as that.:o

    Okie Dokie...I'm off.

    Peaceful Minds folks. BMFx

Oh I forgot to say....if you break your leg, they put it in plaster to support the healing process.
When you are below par, they give you medication to support the healing process.
Nowt wrong in taking a helping hand when it's offered...........

Gilly Gumdrop...made any decisions yet? I'll be here, whatever you choose.
ILGD, see you soon I hope,x.

  • good evening to anyone out there.
my experience of councelling didn't go too well my first councellor was a little irish man. he seemed very nice, but i found myself after every session ,feeling that he wasn't listening to me and was just going through the motions ,and i felt frustrated that i couldn't say what i was really feeling. it didn't help when he kept calling me by somebody elses name! needless to say i only saw him for 5 sessions. a few months later my employer, i work for the NHS, persuaded me to see one of our councellors in total confidence ,i was told. i went about 3 times and found that i could open up easily until she let slip that she had been speaking to our departments personel officer about me. well that was it for me i went ape and swore that i would never see anyone again she kept trying to get in contact with me and so did our p.o but confidence had been broken and i have never asked for help from them again. but the last time i enquired it seems that they have now employed outside councillers all specialiseing in different therepies and none will contact anyone outside there office which could be in a different county if i wanted i had the choice of which one i felt would suit me i don't know what to do now im still feeling hurt and let down.

i felt ok until i started writing this now im feeling a bit on the low side:-(

Definitely felt under the weather today. The sudden drop in temperature has given me a cold and my body hurts today. Been very grumpy today and felt low. Of course everything else on top has really annoyed me:mad:

The bad sleep hasn't helped so hope I sleep OK tonight.

    Still OK with OH.

Just back from the doctors, I've lost another 2kg. 11kg down now, few more to go though!

Not long till the appointment, trying to view it as a positive, I'm sure externalising things will help.
Well done on the weight loss and dealing with the booze:)

One of my neighbours came over today, and said that she knows I'm on my own, so if I ever need anything I can call her :) I thought that was really nice of her.

And I've got results of my blood tests tomorrow _pale_

slowlyfading, I hope you'll be ok. Take care.

What were your blood tests for? I'll send you some best wishes for tomorrow.

Thats really nice of your neighbour. We've just started getting friendly with our neighbours. When OH went away with work, a huge spider appear. Mr Next Door came straight over and got rid of it for me. Neighbours can be great can't they.
