  • hey all,

I havent posted for what seems ages, things are going pretty well at the minute, Ive changed my tablets from Fluoxetine to Citralopram as I was getting a bit of crash weight gain, rather strange, but I have been a lot better on the tablets.

The football team has gone ok, and I started the season rather well, however I played last week with Tonsilitis (I took the week off following that with sickness) and I wasnt very good, today I was dropped for our keeper coach, who is 43, hasnt played for 3 seasons, is knackered by all accounts and has done no pre season training and was surprised himself to be playing.

Its a constant joke, and no one could understand why I reacted the way I did, I had a bit of a rant and expressed my displeasure at not playing, but I know no other way to react, I care about things and always have done and have no idea how to react other than to hit things head on like i did. The other players' didnt understand why i was being like that, and said that I was ruining the atmosphere.

Sorry for posting here, but I didnt have anywhere else to post, nor know where else to post, Ive ended up taking it out on everyone, and I wonder if its even worthwhile carrying on playing, if it just upsets me and gets me down its pretty pointless.

I'll try pop in a lot more, and please try and update me with what has been happening in your life recently, otherwise I have to read about 50 pages to catch up! Hi to feelinggood who has started posting on here I noticed again, good to have you back.
  • Hi LTD, nice to see you. Don't apologise for posting, you are very welcome!

I can understand why you felt the way you did. Something I read today might help you. It was about taking personal inventory and dealing with our anger and resentment towards others. Here is some of it:
"If we were to live, we had to be free of anger... We realized that the people who wronged us were perhaps spiritually sick. Though we did not like their symptoms and the way these disturbed us, they, like ourselves, were sick too. We asked God to help us show them the same tolerance, pity, and patience that we would cheerfully grant a sick friend. When a person offended we said to ourselves, "This is a sick man. How can I be helpful to him? God save me from being angry. Thy will be done." "

That probably sounds like a load of religious mumbo jumbo. I think that letting go of anger and resentment are important in finding happiness and serenity.

Can you perhaps turn around how you look at the situation? Not easy I know, I'm trying to do the same in my life, and I'm giving it a good go.

I ask for empathy and forgiveness for the wrongdoings I've done because of my alcoholism/depression, so should I not offer the same to others?

  • hi dithedancer
i have been using teatree conditior and combing been doing it all day only found three but their must be some more hiding somewhere
  • hi everyonethanks for having me.
pj i even use teatree oil on the cats and they haven't had crawlies on them for ages, but they do take some catchin' (the cats not the fleas).
well im a depressive but i have got some good mates that take me dancing (hence the name) when im feeling down, i think a good dance and a laugh is the best treatment for me because i feel great after wards. i dont take any meds since having a bad experience coming off seroxat. my problems seem to be that i can't tell people what i really think in case i upset them and then it bubbles under the surface till i get home and i take it out on my family. lack of sleep doesn't help either especially if i have a bad day at work. but now ive got you guys to support me (i hope) i should be able to put it all down on here.

  • Evening everyone!

Welcome dithedancer, its lovely to meet you. Hope you are having a nice day today. Teatree seems to be very good for headlice, my mum used it on our hair when we were little and we managed to avoid catching lice. I still panic whenever I get an itchy head though, its probably not as bad as I fear. I'm amazed that I never caught them when I worked at a nursery, but I'm sure I'll get my fair share when I have kids.

Good evening Tulip, how are you feeling? A sea-front walk with your dad sounds lovely, and what a nice thought to buy your mum a box of chocolates. Hope they have some more in stock tomorrow. Have you done much engraving before? Is it easy? Sounds really interesting, and a good way to keep yourself occupied. How are you feeling being back at home? Thanks for mentioning about buying Harry Potter, I'm keen to see that. I've still not read the 7th book, I think part of me doesn't want it to end! Almost bedtime, hope you enjoy getting all snuggled up and wake up feeling refreshed tomorrow. I love bedtime.

Hi PoppyJay, hope you have some luck sorting out the headlice! Sounds like a really tough job. Hope it hasn't taken up your whole weekend and that you managed to get some time to yourself! Sounds like you have been busy, hope you get an long, uninterrupted sleep tonight.

Hi CCstar, nice to see you. Where are you going on holiday? Holidays are not only great when you are away, but you get to look forward to them for a while. I love it when it starts to get a bit cooler and you can snuggle up under a blanket watching TV. I sleep much better when its cooler too, nothing like being over hot to keep you awake. We've got loads of spindly spiders at the moment, OH is forever taking them outside. We've not had any big ones for ages, and the day OH goes away with work one runs out as I'm eating tea. Luckily I've got the neighbours phone number and he came and saved me.

Hope everyone is having a nice Sunday evening and feeling good. Hugs to anyone who needs them.

I'm just back from my 3rd AA meeting and I feel fab. I made a real effort to talk to people, and I got some peoples phone numbers in case I need to chat. Off to the assessment tomorrow, but will come home and read some of my AA literature to help with the feelings of dragging everything up.
