my Hi5 was declined last night, so seems the game is over & i will be getting it closed & my money out soon:D
i think i might wait until the next statement is issued to see what they have done, in print, with cashback, in light of your comments above.:)0 -
I expected my £15 cash back to have appeared on my August statement as I spent £450 within that period. I emailed BC and they apologised for the inconvenience and said it will now appear on my September statement.
I have emailed them back and requested I get it now as it would appear they were the ones at fault.0 -

UPDATE.
BC have now said they will credit my account with the £15 by Tuesday and
have given me £5.00 compensation for the inconvenience.0 -
My £15 bonus showed on the 14th August, the day after my August statement.

I've only just picked up on this thread
Is it to late for me to complain and get double cash back and £50? If not any tips. Sorry if this has been covered, I've read through the thread but its massive and haven't managed to read it all!Next year we'll be millionaires!0 -

I have only just picked up on this thread too. Today, I sent my complaint via secure messaging stating that I am disappointed about the cash-back cards after using them for the past 3-4 weeks. I complained that Amex is not widely accepted as the Mastercard was and the Visa card only carry's 0.5% cash-back. I also mentioned losing the insurances.
I received an answer withing hours, offering me £50 for the insurances and a promise to switch me to a non-dual account after 3 months. I have no idea what that account may be...anyone have any clues? (I did ask to just issue me with a Visa @ 1% and scrap the Amex)
I think I will reply accepting the £50 but asking if the cashback can be improved? (this is in relation to others getting double cashback for six months)
So no, it's not too late! Make sure you say you have been trialling the card since you were force migrated, you are unhappy with it, and are considering cancelling the card because of the changes!
Good luck!

agreed that it's not too late. and this is interesting. there were murmurings of something along these lines a few months ago. they must be getting a tough time as a result of these changes, and they will hopefully come up with something to appease the keen cashback-seeking spenders.:A0 -
Planteria - I've also been trying to find out what will be applied to my High5 account before it is cancelled. After numerous secure messages were ignored, we finally got a formal response today from the customer relations department.
The response was primarily in relation to a complaint that a pro rata refund of the annual fee was unfair as it ignored the higher benefit of the anniversary month (which was only a couple of months away for us). They have refused to accept this point, but given us a £50 bung anyway in recognition of another moan we had about the cashback disappearing from our last statement before the transition.
However in the letter they also picked up the point about the rate of cashback on the High5 card which is apparently going to be 1% until it is switched off. Where they got this figure from is beyond me as it is not a rate that applies to transactions on either the old High5 card or the new Visa card... I have only made one small transaction on it since the last statement just to see what would happen and it hasn't shown up on our online account at all yet (not even in pending transactions) so it's all a bit of a mystery. We put everything on the new Bcard Amex card at the moment which is 2% on everything so we don't really have anything to lose (unless all transactions on the old High5 will magically disappear!).If I had a pound for every time I didn't play the lottery...0
