Good. It looks like historic cashback earned shows once more with the first completed month of the new style card.

Does the 18.68 on Visa correspond to a rate of 2%, 1% or 1/2%?

BTW, by not receiving your two replacement cards before account migration you may be entitled to claim a goodwill payment (It's what I did and my cards actually arrived a day or so later anyway)

(Amex works at Paypoint I have found also.)
Another £75 compensation from Barclaycard so a total of £225 so far for the mistakes with the new two card system. An they still have not sorted out the wrong Cashback figures being shown. What a complete shower.

ive had some payments from them too, and theyve paid me half of the annual fee on my card...with the £1200+CB i will let it go fairly happily, especially if they do let me move my limit across to my other Barclaycard.

anyone think that there is a risk that Barclaycard argue that spending on the 'old Hi5' card should be classified spending on the 'new Visa' card, and just generate a flat 0.5%?

100% hit rate so far - everywhere I've tried to use my Amex card (contactless or with PIN) it's been knocked back. I guess I'll keep on using the World Mastercard then...

i would use that until it stops working, on principle
  • So far I have the 6 months double cash back offer plus 3 goodwill credits totalling £145, including a £75 credit this week without explanation plus the £15 'welcome' bonus and I still have two complaints outstanding! Keep it coming I say. That said I still cannot view my cash back total. As an exercise in account conversion this one must be the perfect example of "how not to do it".

Just had notification of a Terms & Conditions change, cannot see anything detrimental in there from a skim read. Would be nice if they provided a .pdf though rather than recommneding printing or saving from a browser.

If you want to have a giggle, take the URL from the link in the email, paste it into a browser and edit it to create your own terms and conditions with different APR's, different repayment rates etc.

If so many people are unhappy, why not just cancel and walk away? Surely it's that simple?

Barclaycard are hardly the first ever company to issue dual cards.

They also notified everyone well in advance - at that point anyone could have said no thanks and cancelled their cards and repaid the balance etc.

Mistakes do happen when companies migrate etc, again, nothing exclusive to Barclaycard .... I think looking at some of the gestures, they have been more than helpful with some of the very trivial complaints.

Cashback is a 'Benefit' and folk should be pleased that they didn't just completely remove it completely.

I'm pretty sure there are much worse things in the world going on right now.

i think that is all very fair, .1xp
at the same time, i have had a good deal taken away, so ive had a bit of a moan at them, and about them on here, and will be closing the account when the time comes to do so.
that doesn't mean that i, or anyone else, has the importance of this out of context.

i am going to be finding out. i still haven't received replacement cards and my 'Hi5' is still being accepted, but appears to be registering as 'new Cashback Visa' on the barclaycard systems. i have done my 15 purchases this month again, so will be expecting/arguing 2% on the highest 5 purchases.
