Anyone else had any trouble with their High 5 accounts and incorrect anniversary month cashback? My anniversary month was the last before switchover to the new cards but seems they only paid me 2% on my top 5 transactions!

Month 14 was my anniversary month.

If your 12 month statement date is just 1 day before the day you took out the card, then your anniversary month will be 1 month late.

It worked out well for me (£350 cashback in month 14 versus £30 in month 13), but I would suggest if they pull the month 14 stunt on you and you lose out significantly, you are well within your rights to complain eg when is an anniversary not an anniversary.

I specifically messaged BC in May to confirm that my anniversary date was in June and they confirmed so. Now they say my anniversary month began on the July statement date. My issue is with their complaints team although not sure why it is taking them so long to reply.

Their complaints management process says they will give you the name and contact details of the complaint handler if the complaint isn't resolved in 5 days (I think). Submit another complaint about the complaints process not being followed.

Just checked and have spent £302 since my account was migrated on the 14 July. However some of the purchases were made using the former ex egg cashback card but have been assured by BC this would make no difference when it comes to paying me the £15 cash back. Time will tell of course.

I access my Barclaycard accounts through another banking company, and today I had to reset all the entries to access my Barclaycards.

Once I accessed my Barclaycard Cashback statements, I noticed that the option to "show details" of cashback on the statement has disappeared. I suppose that's one way of stopping the complaints!

Is it just me, or has this option been removed from everyone?

I also cannot see the cashback details, only the option of request cashback.

Was on the high 5 account until yesterday and that was the card showing on line. Today I log into my statement to find I am now on the new two card account even though I have not received the cards!

Anyway I have not been credited with any cashback this month and cashback already accrued has disappeared. Sent email as I want to keep a paper trail in case of complaint.

Will I get my cashback? Time will tell.

I wasn't keen when they send me the info on the two cards as I have tried AMEX before and found it was very limited. Methinks its time to look elsewhere.

ETA Aquamania thanks for the 0800 number. decided to give them a call rather than wait 24 hours for response to email. Got a lovely (indian) guy who spoke really good English and was very helpful. He was able to confirm cashback amount including this latest months and stated that it would be transferred onto next statement. Hopefully he's right.

I seem to be unable to use contactless on the two cards they've sent me.

Is this a problem anybody else has had?

Likewise with everyone else, my account is looking ok now but I haven't done quite as well as some.

My cashback this month works out at 2% and 1% except it's 3p short. Now I'm not exactly going to complain about that, but come on how difficult is it to code something that works out percentages!! It might only be 3p this month but what if it's £3 next month? That'll be the hassle of another complaint!

Last months statement still shows the wrong cashback, but my total this month appears to be correct including a correction for last month. Apart from the missing three pence of course!!

The "missing" pennies probably aren't really missing. They're calculating cashback at the 1% and 0.5% rates on each card and then doubling those amounts to 2% and 1% for those of us on the special deal.

    An example...
    Mastercard - spent £30.68
    Amex - spent £159.28
    Visa - spent £17.26

The standard cashback on each of these is as follows...
    Mastercard 1% - £0.30
    Amex 1% - £1.59
    Visa 0.5% - £0.08
(Note that they don't round up fractional pennies!)

    Actual cashback given...
    Mastercard 2% - £0.60
    Amex 2% - £3.18
    Visa 1% - £0.16 -- not the 17p you might expect.

The Mastercard and Amex cashback show as a combined Amex cashback rate on statements.

    Hope this helps...
